Residencia Universitaria Resa Campus del Mar

We reserved a room through *******. We received a confirmation email that included a photo of the type of room we reserved so we were quite surprised when we arrived and got a room with two twin beds instead. Residencia Universitaria Campus del Mar offered to "upgrade" us to what we had originally booked for around $100 euro additional per night. We declined and they then said to talk to ******* instead. We reached out to ******* and they claimed the Residencia Universitaria was not answering the phone so they couldn't do anything about it. There were clearly lines on the ground showing the twin beds had been moved together many times so this does not seem to be a one time error. The actual residence was basic but fine. It was a mini apartment, which included desks, and a small kitchen so that was nice to have access to. However if you're booking online be aware that your booking may not match what you actually receive.

My plan was to walk everyday, taking the bus & metro and seeing all points of the city. Indeed the Residencia has a perfect location, with easy access to all things. I was very grateful to the staff, who was kind and helpful even though I speak no Spanish at all. As the apartment itself, how clean and orderly it was, and I appreciated how all the appliances and plumbing worked just fine ( I cooked a lot of meals and did the dishes each night)! On the third floor where I was, the building itself seemed very quiet -- All the usual noises from outside was not disturbing at all, and in fact were comforting. I was traveling solo, as an advance trip for bringing my wife next time: She really likes things to be clean & functional, so I trust that management will continue to maintain their excellent standards for the Residencia : I can't wait to return for a visit and show my wife all I learned from exploring Barcelona with this lovely place as my "Home Base". PS: In the seven nights and six full days I was here, I walked over 100km, wow. Saw a lot, and always happy to return to the Residencia !! Thank you :)

The residence at Campus de Mar has a nice location in Barceloneta, a short walk from the nearby park and beach, and only a 20 minute walk from Las Ramblas. The rooms are straightforward and without luxury, however the staff are excellent - very considerate and helpful. this is a student housing that tents rooms for travelers. very basic appearance. nice courtyard that can be noisy when groups celebrating which is normal in barcelona. breakfast has a strict limitation. two drinks, croissant or sandwich. wifi excellent.

My husband is disabled following a stroke and uses a wheelchair, and we were looking for accessible accommodation in the Barceloneta area with a kitchenette. We stayed in an accessible third-floor "executive" suite and it was exactly what we wanted. Other reviews mention noise but it was extremely peaceful when we were there (a Monday-to-Wednesday in March). We were at the back with a nice view over a play area. The location was great, right opposite the little Barceloneta park, close to the beach and convenient for many restaurants and supermarkets. It's about 30 minutes' pleasant, gentle walk to La Rambla. I would stay there again and recommend it to other disabled visitors who enjoy the quiet of Barceloneta. Breakfast was a bit basic but I don't eat breakfast anyway and we made our own coffee. My husband was happy with the choice of mini-muffins, cornflakes etc. If you want more there are many bakeries and other shops within five minutes' walk.

We've spent one week in Campus del Mar in the end of July - the perfect time in any sense. The room and the hotel in general has exceeded all expectations: it's more like a standalone apartment for the price of a hotel. Now we are planning our next trips in Spanish cities where Campus del Mar has its branches.
