Hotel Ca' Mura

We have just returned from a 10 day stay and overall, I'd say this is a good hotel in a good location. We had a 5 yr old with us and the room we had was spacious enough although it was fairly basic. The room was spotless and cleaned every day but we found there was limited storage if you are staying more than 2 or 3 nights especially in the bathroom where there is one very small shelf for all our toiletries. We had a small balcony but it was a side view rather than Lake - some other rooms didnt have any balcony so that was plus at least. The room had air con and it was pretty effective. Breakfast was more than adequate although not a huge offering if you want something other than continental. Sitting in the lovely garden whilst eating was very pleasant. The only negative we found was the amount of people smoking whilst others sitting close by were eating - this seems to be perfectly acceptable in Italy unfortunately rather than having designated smoking areas. There is a decent sized pool with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas which didnt tend to get that busy. The pool is heated and the gardens surrounding are lovely. Unfortunately there were not many families at the hotel when we visited - Bardolino generally seemed to be 90% couples therefore something to be aware of if you are looking for a family resort. There is a large Spar only 2 mins walk from the hotel and the centre of Bardolino is a 10 min walk (or 15 mins if you go the scenic route via the Lake) - its definitely not more than this as I read in another review ! The hotel has a large car park to the rear and is located on the main road in/out of Bardolino which made it a good base for us exploring Lake Garda.

Booked a room on the 1st floor with balcony. Staff were great, room was simple but had all the boxes ticked and was spotless. Breakfast was excellent and the location brilliant for a 10 minute walk to main part of town. Walk passes a supermarket on the main road and then turn down a side street for walking along the water. Always felt safe and relaxed. Quiet too. Would stay there again and found the hotel extremely honest. We had a pre-covid booking and this was the first hotel to help us not loose our money, working with us until we could stay and not ripping us off in the process. Wish there were more hotels like this.
