The Trail Hotel

Definitely seems to be a motel rather than a hotel, but it’s a bougie one at that. Rooms are nice, restaurant and bars are fantastic and the staff is absolutely amazing. We had a blast and will definitely be going back.

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel while doing bourbon tours. We loved the hotel! They have put alot of thought into the details of the hotel. They have the fluffiest towels Ive ever experienced in a hotel. The bed and pillows were incredible. Their pool is saltwater and beautiful. We spoke with the maintenance man while he was testing the pool and he talked about the attention to detail with testing the pool and the hot tub. The provided beach towels are big and fluffy as well. All of the staff that we encountered were top notch and so friendly. Gordy the bartender was fun and made great cocktails. The speakeasy is a must. So cozy and fun. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It's overall pricey for what you get, bourbon pours are unrealistic for what you can get in town. Some rooms are not pool side but they charge for pool side. Paper thin walls. Limited hooks in rooms. It's new so staff are not 100% up to speed with service but they were all very friendly. The public can use the pool and bar so there might not be any chairs, towels or room in the pool for paid guests.
