The Point Resort

This is the 6th time we have stayed at The Point Resort.We have always found our unit to be spotlessly clean,very well equipped,extremely comfortable & with great ocean views. Many thanks to the managers Sharon & Craig for their very friendly,pleasant & proficient hospitality. A GREAT place to stay & we will return.

My room was right next to entrance and I cannot sit in the lunge as everyone walk pass looked through. The room was rather than called ocean front as cars are parking right in front of my room and trees blocked the whole ocean view. It is ground floor after all. I didn’t feel safe as the room right facing the street and even after locked the screen door, it was still doesn’t provide me any security. After window has been shut at night time, the whole room smells very bad. It is unbearable. Bathtub was dirty, there are hairs and things. No rails for you to climb out of the shower, good luck! At the night time, the light was too dimmed and very unpleasant. However, the corridor light was bright enough as it is shined the whole night through short curtain to the bedroom with mirror reflections next to the bed. The linen smells moulded. The hardest part is when I’m dealing with the staff, I asked to change rooms or check me out,however they ask me to wait to see if after 10 am there is someone checkout. They offered me to change to a non ocean view room but refuse to adjust the rate accordingly. I have to leave this horrible room as I initially booked for 5 days and the room is not meet the standard at all. So the resort charged me two night as I didn’t check out before 10, even I went to seeking for assistance at 8:45am!!!! It is not a 4 star hotel and I have already filed a complaint to get my money back for the night I didn’t even stay. I would never booked this place if I knew the room like this.

fantastic location just across the road from the ocean, clean spacious rooms, underground lock up carpark. On site manager was very helpful with any enquiries or supplying us with dishwasher tablets . Very impressed with The Point Resort, would recommend it totally.
