Eclypse de Mar Acqua Lodge

I made a reservation to stay here in December through Priceline/Booking and then cancelled the reservation 30 days before. Despite being told in writing (over email) that there would be no cancellation fee, I was charged the full amount of the reservation, over $2000. Despite reaching out to priceline/booking multiple times and showing the the email, I have not received any response or a refund.

Wow this was one of the best places we’ve stayed in, we had a jungle cabana in the middle of the nature reserve. We saw sloths, monkeys and alligators near our cabin and the service and food were very good! See the pictures i took, all near our jungle cabin

What a piece of paradise! My friends and I stayed two nights at Eclypse de Mar, and from the moment we arrived at the dock, we were made to feel at home. The cabins are clean and very breezy (no AC needed), and the amenities such as SUP boards and access to the nature walk were a lovely addition to our time relaxing on the patio. The food and drinks were also delicious! We didn’t have any issue with noise - apart from maybe hearing light music from across the bay early evening, there was nothing notable at night and we slept very peacefully. A special shout out to Nico and Rashima and the rest of the crew for their friendliness and incredible service. Highly recommend checking the place out if you’re heading to Bocas and are looking to relax!

Beautiful on the water bungalows‼️ Excellent reception and staff. Above & beyond personal service and very detailed oriented‼️ A wonderful place to stay on your visit. We had no problems on our lovely stay. The food was very good and we had an amazing time...

The whole experience was great. Accommodating staff! Fresh breakfast was excellent! Would definitely go back! Drinks were great. The atmosphere was amazing and staff was super helpful. Rooms were clean and food was really good. The noise wasn't as bad as some of the other reviews mentioned.

We just returned from 2 days at Eclypse de Mar. I made the booking thru the hotel and was suppose to pay upon arrival One month before our arrival date they put the full charge thru my credit card. I thought no big deal we’re going anyway but the next day they put an April/May 20% off sale on their site Guess they were afraid I’d cancel and rebook at the lower rate! Which I had every right to do That wasn’t very professional When I mentioned it at check in there was no comment So beware you never know when you will be charged We arrived and were lead to our room It was beautiful, spacious and right over the water We ordered food and received our welcome drinks and took a swim off our steps It was wonderful We then had dinner at their restaurant which was also very good But now it’s 10 pm and 81 degrees There is a fan over the bed but when it’s that hot it doesn’t help Then it rained and what little breeze we had stopped We took cold showers and tried to sleep We could hear music in the distance til about 2am As our bungalow was facing the other way it wasn’t too bad but I can see how the music would disturb rooms on the other side The power is on from 6 pm until 9 am but you can’t use a hair dryer or straightener The next morning they served a wonderful breakfast in the room It was delicious and nicely presented We were gone all day and out to dinner elsewhere but once again it was 82 degrees at 10 pm and nearly impossible to sleep. We had 2 great days at Eclypse de Mar and 2 difficult nights We were there in April I heard other months are cooler at night Yes it was a wonderful experience but sleeping in 80 degrees is not easy
