Fairfield Inn & Suites Batavia

The hotel seemed very recently built or refurbished to me. Everything in the room was great, the gym was solid. Pretty good location, lots of places to choose for dinner that are within a few minutes drive.

I spent Thursday night, 5/22/2025, at the facility in Batavia.  First of all, let me say how WONDERFUL Jose was!  Every interaction with Jose was professional yet friendly and welcoming!  I truly cannot tell you what a HUGE asset he is!   Secondly, I absolutely LOVED everything about the stay!  I was in room 107, and while I realize the building is not that old, and while the bathroom/shower clearly needs some repair, overall, the bedding including mattress, sheets, and pillows was absolutely PERFECT!!  i had a wonderful rest! My cousin has stayed there a few times when traveling here from California, so I was very interested to see if it was as wonderful as I had hoped - and it is indeed!  And finally, despite some negative reviews, I found the breakfast buffet to be very nice, and the coffee was EXCELLENT! I will truly not hesitate to recommend the Fairfield in Batavia to anyone and everyone!

Due to an event in the area all hotels were booked. When checking in we are Tod the elevators don’t work.. no first room floors and if we cancel we would have to contact ******* to get a refund. Breakfast was managed by a maintenance man . There was limited bacon and spinach egg wraps which for some reason he thought he should unwrap and touch all of them. When asked if there were eggs he said the spinach wraps have eggs. The oatmeal had a half inch of water on top of oats. The coffee and cream were not kept up with and there was a sign Sorry we have no waffles. This was the worst Marriott I have experienced and I have stayed in a lot of them. The staff had lots of excuses and said the were sorry , but sorry doesn’t make spending my money for the Marriott experience ok to get the motel 6 instead

We travel often. Worldwide and recognize great service. Arthur at the front desk was world class!!! Without asking, he offered to move my room, because I was riding a motorcycle, so I could keep an eye on my bike out my window! Wow! This is a must stop on my way to our cabin in the Adirondacks

Public areas are pleasant. ADA accommodations are suitable, although one wonders why there is a tub instead of a walk in shower. The bedding is fine, although the mattress is too soft, and the the pillows a bit worn. If this is what you expect, then you'll be content. I want to note three complaints: The a/c when on auto blows very cold air when set at 73 or below. When the unit is off the fan continues to operate, blowing warm or hot air. In short, either the room is very warm or very cold, but not temperate. The mini-fridge didn't function. We asked for a replacement and were advised that there was no spare. When we noted that there were a large number of empty rooms from which a different unit could be spared, we were told no. Instead, we carried items that needed to be cooled or frozen to the main desk in a cooler chest, retrieving them when needed. Tedious, over three days. The third complaint is more applicable to many US hotels. We just spent a month in Europe where every hotel breakfast included fresh whole fruits, specialty cheeses, locally made pastries and breads, and much more. The pre-made breakfasts, dried eggs, mass-cut fruits, are truly an embarrassment.

The Front Desk personnel did a great job of Customer Service! They were awesome. The General Manager was easy to talk to and also did a great job! The room was clean and large enough for me and my luggage. The bathroom was big and the grab cars in the shower were plentiful and greatly appreciated! The bed was not as comfortable as I was used to for a Fairfield Inn. My only complaint was that there was just one chair in the room and it was very uncomfortable! When you wanted to watch tv, you had to drag the chair away from the tv or else lean way back in it. Seriously? When did hotels just have o e chair in a room? In spite of this, and mainly due to the people working there, I’d definitely stay there again - but may bring a folding chair!
