Nice hotel love that there is a Starbucks in the lobby

Room was infected with mites. I noticed too late and they got into my CPAP machine making it unusable. I made a complaint to management who, after initially ignoring me, finally made an incident report. John Baker, the general manager, said someone would call me to follow up but nobody ever did.

They canceled our reservation at 10 pm just before we arrived. They offered no alternatives only empty “apologies” for giving anway our room—something totally in their control. They were fine if we slept in our car, and we’re “Gold life-time” loyalty members. The woman who called to tell us had ZERO empathy—just read from her script. At one point she giggled and hung up on us. We will never stay at another Marriott property. We finally got a room at the Residence Inn next door which they couldn’t be bothered to even tell us about. NEVER. EVER stay here.

this place is horrible, my review is long over due. I had a late check in around 11 the person at the desk seemed as if they were in a bad mood and had a bit of an attitude. I get to the room and the tv doesn’t work, I try to call the front desk and explain and the phone doesn’t work so I reach the front desk via the Marriott app and they explain they will notify maintenance then 1 minute later says maintenance is gone for the night ( doesn’t offer to switch my room or anything) so I let them know through the app I need a 5am wake up call because I had a 6am appointment. I never went to sleep that night because I was scared to oversleep. Well they never gave the wake up call anyway so I’m glad I trusted my instinct. So overall no tv, no phone, no waking call and poor customer service. They need to give my points back tbh.

We booked on line and understood we had breakfast included with our $137.00 room which was,it turned out to be, a “handicap room “ . Our room was very disappointing. The bathroom was sad. No counter space to set anything down on. No soap except in devices in shower. The shower was a wheelchair shower and when you showered the water ran out in the floor. No mirror in the bath, no hair dryer. When I went down to get breakfast I was told it was not free and they would have to charge me for the cup of coffee I had served myself as no one was present at the counter. When you are traveling across country you expect Marriott to be first class and this was not.

I stayed here on a business trip to the area. All of the staff was extremely friendly. The room was very nice and clean. This was actually much better than the Hilton Downtown. The lobby area is very nice, they have a bar and coffee bar in the morning. They are working on getting the cafe kitchen open which will be a bigger plus. I would highly recommend staying there. And I owe the person who worked the bar who also has a catering business (I can't remember her name) a container of my pork rub when I return. Thank you all again for a very nice stay.

Not much has changed in a year. Stayed here for convenience to attend a regional tennis match. Staff excellent and the rooms are clean and comfy. Hotel is showing its age and the road noise has gotten worse in a years time. Drag ***** at night on sign lane!

The rooms were clean and quiet, and the hotel was situated near many stores and restaurants, and a convenient distance away from the LSU Stadium. This is a great budget option for any type of traveler, and we would definitely stay here again.
