I have always wanted to stay at the Inn and this past weekend, I finally did! The location is excellent, within walking distance of almost everything. The staff was super friendly and helpful (especially Jay (I think) ) when we checked in. The room was unique and the bed was super comfy. Although we did not bring a pet, we stayed in one of the pet friendly rooms in the lower level and it was perfect and allowed us to go in and out without disturbing other guests. The patio furniture and honor bar on the 4th floor was handy, and the Sunday breakfast out on the porch was lovely! Will definitely be back.

The location is excellent, as well as the rooms and service. Make sure you visit the covered porch! Home is within walking distance of shops, and the waterfront is just across the street. Breakfast consisted of pancakes, bacon, grits, fruit, and coffee. Can't wait to go back again.

Lovely location on the water — great breakfast with terrific service. Bedroom spacious with very comfortable bed. Best place to stay in Beaufort and excellent launching point for interesting walks and boating. Front porch is exceptional.

ZERO STARS. Worst night of sleep ever. Loud street noise (even with ear plugs). Bright lights shining from the parking lot adjacent to the hotel. 4AM dumpster swap (Apparently the owners are aware of this but didn’t seem to care when I brought it up). Mediocre breakfast. Very uncomfortable bed, especially the pillows (another review described them as potato sacks, which is accurate). Owners were very defensive when I brought these issues to them- politely. Overall an incredibly disappointing experience. Next time I will take the negative reviews more seriously.

Anchorage 1770 is located on Bay Street in Beaufort. It’s a very nice place to stay and the rooms are nicely laid out. Unfortunately we had a short stay and could not have the breakfast as we had an early golf time. They did promise to leave us a snack in the fridge for the morning but alas it was not there! Otherwise all good.

We stayed in the Lower Courtyard room. It was delightful. The bed was very comfortable. The bath was small but workable. It was nice to have the privacy and private patio area. The inn is very nice and breakfast was delicious out on the front porch! The grits exceptionally good. Staff friendly and turn down with chocolate chip cookies and lemon infused water a nice touch. Highly recommend a stay here. There's also an elevator in the main building, a plus.

The room was very clean and the beds are comfortable with crisp linens. The employees are friendly and willing to assist with any needs or recommendations. The place is quiet and a short block walk to shops. Breakfast is included and was made fresh to order and very good! Would definitely stay again!

Our first visit to Beaufort was "anchored" by the hospitality & accommodations of the Anchorage 1770 Inn. From Ryan greeting us and helping us get settled in to our visit with owners Frank & Amy Lesesne to the amazing food at their restaurant, the Ribaut Social Club for dinner (and breakfast each day), we enjoyed each moment at the inn. Our room was well appointed with all the amenities of a five-star hotel with personal touches like carafes of lemon water & fresh baked cookies each night. The inn's location allowed for us to walk everywhere: dining at night, shopping during the day, sightseeing in the afternoon (and use of their bikes was a bonus). We enjoyed the views from the rooftop deck, the collection of Pat Conroy books (he was a frequent visitor to the Inn) & the daily sheet of information to help us plan our day. The Inn provided great communication prior to our visit, personal service throughout our stay and easy checkout that made our stay worry-free!

We enjoyed the most wonderful stay with a group of couples over the weekend. The inn is beautiful, the service, oh the service—amazing hospitality! We enjoyed a dinner with wine pairings customized for our group. The food was amazing. Thank you to Amy for such a memorable visit! We will be back!
