This place is tired. Soiled rugs and carpets. Paint spots on floors. Painted putty everywhere filling in rotted wood. Bathroom so small my knees hit bathtub while sitting on toilet. Wife and I could not fit in bathroom at same time. Closet smelled moldy.

Rhett House Inn was beautiful and located within walking distance of many sights in Beaufort. The bicycles were appreciated as we explored the neighborhood of historic homes. Hospitality was top notch, staff were helpful with tips for activities and my husband loved the fresh baked cookies. I would definitely stay at the Inn again.

The Rhett House Inn was a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. My husband booked a surprise trip to Rhett House Inn, and we loved it so much that we stayed an extra night. Located on Craven Street, the inn is a central spot to walk to the waterfront and attractions in the historic downtown district in Beaufort, SC. The service at this inn is truly exceptional. The front desk innkeepers (Robin, Jenny, and Shannon) were fantastic sources of suggestions for restaurants, historic sights, and local nature reserves (Cypress Wetlands). The inn also provided free state park passes for Hunting Island State Park, along with beach towels and ice for our mini cooler. We felt so pampered each morning by Tyler, who served us a delicious southern breakfast on the front porch. The homemade breakfast items, afternoon cookies, happy hour charcuterie in the parlor, and evening desserts were wonderful perks that other B&B’s would find hard to match. We loved the convenient parking, safe location, and peaceful rooms with ceiling fans and good soundproofing. Highly recommend!

The Rhett House Inn is a wonderful place to stay in Beaufort, South Carolina. The beautiful house is Antebellum and rich in history. It is located just a block from the waterfront and is walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. We stayed in the cottage in room 16. It was lovely with a great kingside bed, nice bathroom and a lovely porch with rockers.

The beds are extraordinarily comfortable and the location cannot be beat. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We were able to eat outside on the generous porch and the attentiveness and care that our server Mark provided was superb. Afternoon tea is a lovely touch!

My husband and I stayed for the weekend at the Rhett House Inn and I can say it’s now our favorite B&B! Room #10 was just perfect for us! The room was appointed with a variety of antiques, has a private screened porch, roomy bathroom, and the most comfortable bed! Needless to say, we will stay here again without a doubt during our next visit to Beaufort! Oh, and thanks to the chef for the bacon on our early morning departure ;-)

If you are going to Beaufort and want to stay within walking distance of the harbour and sights, then this is the place to stay. I have stayed at Rhett numerous times. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are welcoming. The house has a nice airy feel to it and the grounds and gardens are well kept and have seats around to sit and socialise with family/friends! Parking is free and available at the back or side of the house. Chef Beverly’s breakfast is good and makes a nice start to your day. I highly recommend.

And everyone of the staff we encountered were welcoming and helpful. From check in through check out, our stay at the Rhett House Inn was a great way for us to begin the new year. We arrived during the afternoon reception (various cheese snacks in the main room) and saw that folks were sitting on the veranda enjoying the early evening ambiance. Once we settled in to our room, we asked about dinner recommendations and Amy made a reservation for us. We enjoyed meal and our stroll to the restaurant and then returned to our room. It was cozy (with a gas fireplace) and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the next morning we enjoyed breakfast on the veranda. Our server, Christy, was very pleasant and efficient explaining that we could have anything or everything on the breakfast menu. The challenge was to not break our New year's resolution on the second morning! We met the chef, Allen, and not only complemented him on the food but also the entire breakfast experience. The Rhett House Inn is a wonderful spot to explore Beaufort and experience some Southern hospitality. We will definitely return and bring some friends!

Rooms were very spacious. Extremely close proximity to downtown and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious! The wait staff were attentive and helpful. The breakfast offerings were extensive. The chef has been given awards for her grits and we agreed they were amazing. Biscuits are handmade and mouth watering. Worth a trip when in Beaufort.
