Beautiful old mansion. Our room totally renovated, but fun to see the old features of a mansion like that out in the country. The staff was also extraordinarily friendly and warm. Thank you!

Lovely old manor house with extensive grounds the children enjoyed playing in. Room with kitchenette & outdoor terrace was very practical for our 2 families. The welcome was warm and the atmosphere relaxed. Big bike shed for all our 8 bikes & trailer! Would def recommend for a stop en route if you are biking in the Loire. We would also record the superb municipal pool in Avoine (baby pool & brilliant slide!) as well as pizzeria l’Herozo where we had an excellent evening meal.

We decided to visit Chinon last minute and found on tripadvisor the manoir. Unfortunately only 2 rooms were left , one with air con and the other without. Due to the heat we chose the air con . I asked if the website had photos of the room which they replied unfortunately no. I know why. Room 18 hasnt been refurbished and is very very rustic. Though the room was clean I felt like I was sleeping at my nans house ! Not very romantic. Even though the room was fairly large it had a tiny 140 size bed . Pity. The bathroom has a nasty old bath and for the first time ever I actually refused to use the bathroom for a shower ! I had read that the breakfast was copious. Not when we where there. Each guest was « given » one croissant each and a tiny piece of bread . True there was some ham and cheese available along with dry fruit and yogurts but thats it ! So personally I wouldn't call it copious . On a positive note the Manoir is pretty (needs major refurbishment though) and has a nice garden at the back for kids to run around in. Its dog friendly as we saw 4 sets of guests with theirs. The receptionist attentive. The manoir is ideally situated for bike tours and those visiting Chinon , a quick 5 min drive away. Will we return? Doubt it. Do we recommend ? Yes if you're touring the area on bike , but not if you’re looking for a romantic break away.

Beautiful place My 2 children wife and I had a fantastic stay here. Lovely lawns for the kids to run around and explore and lovely buildings to admire! Comfortable beds and rooms and great breakfast with fresh warm croissants and a selection of meat eggs cereal and yoghurt. Short drive into Chinon for dinner plenty of chose to have! Great stay
