We just spent three nights at this lovely lodge for our wedding anniversary, and were very pleased with everything about it. The lodge itself is very cozy and peaceful. The view is wonderful because the point adds a lot (you are not just looking at the vast lake). The landscaping has been kept as natural as possible. We stayed in one of the staterooms, which are just at the top of the stairs from the front desk. Our room had a pine king bed which was very comfortable, and was furnished with rustic looking furniture. Also had an in room jacuzzi, which was great after days spent hiking. I was surprised at how we heard no outside noise when we were in the room - especially since the room was just upstairs from the dining room/lobby/front desk. Was nice to be able to open the windows and hear the waves crashing into the rocks. We ate dinner in the lodge dining room two of the nights we were there. The meals were excellent - especially the brown sugar glazed pork chop. It is served with sweet potato puree, gingered sauteed mushroom, and a tangy apple slaw. Quite an explosion of different flavors. Service was perfect. One night we ate at the Crossings, which was more casual, but the food was very good. We spent most of our days exploring the state parks, so didn't take advantage of what the lodge has to offer for activities - frisbee golf, boccee ball, canoes, indoor pool, etc. We did enjoy the DVD's which were complimentary with our state room. Breakfast was good, but would have been nice if they had some different things out each day. Only cereal they had was corn flakes, and muffins were always blueberry. That was our only complaint, which is minor. I felt very relaxed at this lodge - a great stay!
