We absolutely loved Cove Point Lodge. All rooms faced Lake Superior, as did the breakfast/dinner area. The fireOther reviews complained about the coffee machine - it's Folgers coffee and tasted just fine. It's available at all hours - decaf and regular - plus anything you want to add to it. There is also hot water for tea, cider and hot chocolate. Every room also has a Keurig. The pool and hot tub looked lovely. Staff were friendly and the rooms were quiet. Our king bed was a little wore, but slept fine otherwise. Our room also had a DVD player, and there are lots of movies to choose from in the lobby if you want to watch one. And we loved the Scandinavian breakfast! I realize picked cucumbers, herring and beets aren't for everyone, but they are healthy. There was also yogurt, granola and lingonberries, plus cold cereal and bagels. We looked forward to it every day. Because the dinner area is small, reservations are necessary - but the food is worth it. We will definitely be back!

The location is very nice. It is pretty much in the middle of everything along the North Shore. The grounds are nice with the fire pit and smore’s and the fish house and lots of outdoor seating. The lodge room we had is in dire need of updating, from the bathroom to the bed. Also no housekeeping so for what we paid we had to find a place to dump our own trash etc. So, location good but we were not impressed with the room accommodations. We probably will pick somewhere else next time.

This stay was our third time at Cove Point and our last. . The positives beautiful view, lobby is charming. Front desk staff nice but definitely lacking customer service skills. For $280 a night there is no daily housekeeping we have to empty our trash ask for trash bags make our bed no new sheets etc etc. if your not going to offer the full lodge experience then maybe lower room prices. AC is a very large stand alone unit on the floor super loud and yes I get it it’s north shore but it is humid in the rooms. Lastly I’d recommend to management to acknowledge your return customers not with anything other then a verbal greeting and a thank you for choosing Cove Point.

We have been coming to Cove Point Lodge for years. It never disappoints. We stayed in a cottage which had comfy beds and everything we needed. We love swimming in the pool after hiking all day and stopping in the lobby for cookies and coffee. They do smores by the campfire in the evenings which the kids love. Close to all the state parks and trails, really great place.

We rented a cottage for 2 couples. Our water view was spectacular. The kitchen had all we needed. Our only issues was the water pressure for showers meant only 1 bathroom in use at a time and the downstairs bed is noisy every time you move. This seems to be ongoing in #514 as others had wrriten about it in the notebook. The lodge is very nice and easy to walk to. We enjoyed some of the art supplies. Dinner was great. Breakfast is interesting.

Definitely the favorite get away along The North Shore. Fabulous rooms, all with a stunning view of The Lake. The staff are warm and welcoming. From the huge fire crackling in the lobby to the wonderful food or the sauna/pool to card games in the fish house, this is a slice of heaven at which you can release all worries and stress.

We were first timers at Cove Point but we will definitely be going back. We had a first floor room so had a walk out patio. Perfect view of the Lake. We didn't have huge waves but it was beautiful. We had a sunrise and a moonrise of a full moon over the Lake. It was so beautiful that I had to get up during the night to look at it. The whole Lake was shimmering and gorgeous. The staff was all so helpful and friendly. The Lodge is in a perfect location to enjoy anything on the North Shore-right in the middle. Be sure to check it all out before booking anywhere else!

For several years my family has come to cove point lodge. Shelly and Mike who work at the resort have been welcoming and friendly. The stay at the resort has been fantastic the one downside has been that the rooms have not been always cleaned. However,when addressing with the staff they accommodate your stay by changing your room

This is such a cozy resort. We love all the little things that make it feel like home! The big comfy couches in front of the fire place, the games available, DVD's to watch, coloring, the friendly staff, the fish house that has more games and wood burning stove, the fire pit and ingredients for stores, cookies in the lobby with free coffee or hot chocolate. It is all so welcoming. We love the proximity to great state parks and hiking the Superior Hiking trail. Or you can do the Cove Point loop which is under 6 miles and takes about 2.5 hours. My husband and I have been coming here for 12 or more years and even spent our Honeymoon here. Just love this place!
