Nuance Naturist (Nudist) B&B

Writing this review after a weekend stay at Nuance Bed & Breakfast... I cannot say enough positive things (As if the other 50+ 5 star reviews lied...). This weekend helped our minds, our bodies, our relationship, our world. There is nothing like stripping down to your natural self and truly getting back to nature. The Accommodations: We stayed in the HideAway, the recently renovated apartment above the garage at the gorgeous Nuance Bed & Breakfast. This apartment has a full modern kitchen with everything you could possibly want/need and we made full use of that by making our own food the entire time. The bathroom in the apartment was just updated, we were told by Bill, and was insanely beautiful! A huge soaking tub, which was easily filled and maintained hot water, featuring provided bath products! Then the large open shower with three variously positioned shower heads was perfect for rinsing off, and also had soaps provided (although we had our own, so cannot speak to the quality). I would say if there is any minor drawback, and this is truly just finding something (anything!?) to complain about so that you, the reader can know that this review is real, it would be the bed. It is a full size, and comfy enough, it just felt a bit small. (Just writing that seems petty, because we slept like babies each night after all of our fresh air and activity.) The Activities: There is an abundance of things to do (or not do!) here! Bill and Jan have the perfect set up on a magnificent chunk of land. There is pickleball, horseshoes, running/hiking trails, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, bird watching, lounging, bocce and more. There is a pool table and a movie theater room, a hot tub and a pond. We played games and tried new sports and hiked the trails. It is really helpful that they have placed the items that you need for each game by its' playing area, along with rules for play! We connected with nature and were able to catch some beautiful sunsets. We even saw a mama doe and her babies several times out on the trails! It is quiet and peaceful, and if you choose to read or nap on the deck, this is a lovely atmosphere to do so. The Food: Sorry, we cannot speak to the food, as breakfast is not part of the HideAway. However, you will find in the kitchen at the HideAway there is an oven and microwave, drip coffeemaker, and the pantry is well stocked with spices, coffee/tea, sugar, even popcorn! The People: Bill and Jan were super helpful folks who will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable in their home. They do seem to deeply respect personal space and rules in the home, and it shows, which we appreciated. The Star: Sammi. IYKYK. 08/25/23 - 08/27/23

We enjoyed peace and quiet in the midst of nature at this stunning BnB last week. My husband and I used all the amenities including the pickle ball court, bocce, nature trails for our run/power walks, kayaks, paddle board and swimming in the spring-fed pond. I can't say enough about the trails, gardens (a small greenhouse too!) and privacy. Three times around the property was a 40-minute power walk and includes freshly mulched trail. Birches are everywhere, part of the Michigan foliage including white pines and a lot of oak and maple trees. We will come for sure again in the fall for the color. They keep the house toasty warm and we use it a lot for pool, board games and reading, and of course the spectacular view. We chose the 'Hideaway', which is a separate space from the main house. We prefer it so we have the freedom to cook what/when we wanted. However, we've enjoyed their in-house rooms before, and the rooms and food were excellent. The beds have mattress toppers and lovely cotton linens. The hand-made cotton quilts are beautiful! Bill and Jan prepare high-class delicious meals for those who stay in the main house. Love the wine and pressed coffee! The 'Hideaway' has a brand new bathroom with a fully-tiled walk-in shower where you can look out over the pond. I also enjoyed the soaking tub a few times. The kitchen is fully equipped and very new. We didn't watch the TV much because we like to enjoy the amenities in the main house. Bill's home interior is welcoming and we look forward to perusing the extensive library each time we visit, as we are readers. Leather chairs with cozy blankets, top-notch linens and towels, and the house temperature is always kept for naturist-comfort. We also love the the pool table + board games but have yet to use the movie-theater room. We crossed a little bridge to park ourselves on the pond pavilion for several hours each day, swimming further out to the two floating docks to get moving a bit. The lounger chairs are great and giant fluffy beach towels are available right there. The hosts - Bill and Jan - require appropriate behavior and are incredibly respectful, helpful, and willing to make your stay comfortable. Naturist first-timers will love this place, as it is so private and classy. I can't say there was anything disappointing whatsoever. You don't need to pack a thing - just show up and you will be fine!

Naturist rookies, my partner and I came to Nuance for a relaxing, intentional getaway outside the city. We had an AMAZING time! Bill and Jan were the perfect hosts, breakfasts were absolutely delicious, and the property itself was beautiful. Everything intentionally in its place, my partner and I enjoyed sunbathing by the lake, swimming, playing games and enjoying each other's company. Nuance exceeded my expectations and I hope to come back soon!

My wife and I traveled to Nuance in wintery Michigan not really knowing what to expect, but had a wonderfully relaxing break. As others have said, the hosts and facilities here are really top-notch. We were able to spend our time looking out over the snow-covered landscape and reading, also making use of the hot tub, solarium and home theater. We wish we could have stayed longer, and are looking forward to returning.

We returned to Nuance for a summer break and it exceeded expectations. The beautifully clear lake was available for swimming, paddle-boarding, relaxing in the sun and, most notably, fishing, as there were excellent stocks of good-sized bass and panfish that were a treat to catch. Hosting, food and accommodation were excellent. Once again, we are looking forward to our next visit.
