Lavande Hotel (Qianmen Street, Tiananmen Square, Beijing)

The room is very clean and with pipe in music for the bathroom. Complimentary drinks at reception and late supper as well

Unluckily our expectations were higher than what we actually found. At check-in the room had a terrible cigarette odor... and the floor was not very clean (hairs and other dirt). After telling the staff, the situation slightly improved but the room's cleanliness is surely not satisfiable. One floor corner near the bed remained dirty and we had to clean from ourselves... Luckily the bathroom was wide with big shower and all amenities needed. The breakfast was also very disappointing with very limited choice and basically only Chinese dishes... Although we did pay for breakfast service, we never had breakfast in hotel... The only advantage of this hotel is given by the strategic location, otherwise better to choose other hotels.

This must have been one of the best hotels we have stayed at not only in China but anywhere. The staff is super friendly and they provide a luggage storage service for free. Location is perfect and very close to Tienanmen square and metro stations. The room is just amazing with loads of toiletries, technology and with a good smell You can even make laundry if you need it. Absolutely perfect! Only negative side was that the window was obscured by the hotel signboard also you couldn't see outside, but Is it really irrelevant compared to the super services provided!
