Had no chance to stay at this hotel: few weeks before a vacation got noticed by Trip.com about the relocation to GUBEI WATER TOWN GRANG HYATT as i was told. But when I arrived i got neither Hyatt nor Wtown resort, in fact I was relocated to some homestay ,maybe someone would love, but too dark and cold for me with a river view, small windows and only 1 ceiling light for a room. That was definitely not was I expected

We got notified a week earlier from Trips that the hotel was not available on the date we booked. So they managed us to stay at another hotel which was very nice. The hotel we stayed was Beijing Wtown Resort was very nice. Staffs are very helpful and we are very satisfied.

due to low season. This hotel was closed. Anyway, trip & hotel change us to Beijing Wtown Resort 古北水镇古北之光度假酒店 which is very impressive to us. Rate of this hotel are 5/5 all. Breakfast buffet is also good, plenty of food types (chinese, western, salad, etc.). This is well place to visit The Great Wall in the evening. And Drone Show is very good.

A Chinese style courtyard hotel modernised to great standards comparable to excellent hotel chain. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Checkin is done at the tourist Center. You could also purchase the Gubei water town entrance ticket at the same time at half price. Staff will give clear instructions on the process. There’s a connecting bus which will bring you to a stop near the hotel. The hotel is right outside the Simatai Great Wall ticketing counter. There’s a in house restaurant with excellent hot pot dinner. Great comfortable stay for 2 nights at Gubeikou.

Duan’s Quadrangle Inn is perfectly located. Within a stone’s throw away, not only is there the ticket office for boat tours and the Simatai Great Wall, you’ll find the entrance to Simatai is right in front of you; the boat tour starts from the dock about 5 metres from the office.
You must try Duan’s hot springs (indoor and outdoor) and sauna for a relaxing experience. They provide towels and flippers/sliders, and lockers in the changing room.
The morning breakfast buffet was a convenient way to start our day! There were continental as well as Chinese food and drinks. As the restaurant is located on the first floor, we sat in the terrace, overlooking the lake.
The staff are polite and helpful. They have a mini shop outside the hot springs section if you forget to bring your waterproof phone holder.
Overall, we’ve had a lovely time staying at Duan’s and we would not hesitate to stay again!

Great simple inn that was suitable for us as a couple. Not that big but comfortable enough. Location was perfect for us as we wanted to visit the Simatai section of the Great Wall. The inn is only few steps from the entrance to the cable-car that takes you up to the Great Wall. Room had heater to keep us warm in the night and hot water showers. Simple breakfast selection with a mix of western and chinese options and overall tasted good. While I didn't get to try out their in-house hot spring bath, it's good to know they have that facility for the guest. Staff were friendly and helpful (as much as they could with the language barrier) and went about their work quietly. All in all, a great accommodation for a simple overnight stay.
Also good that for guests staying inside the Gubei Water Town, there is complimentary shuttle bus service from the main car park to the in/hotel and also within the town. Including transporting your luggage to your inn / hotel.

I like the location where located next to Great Wall entrance ticket booth. Hot spring is available inside the hotel and quality is good. The hotel has impressive styling of traditional Chinese. Breakfast was okay, too.
