A (too) Brief but Breathtaking Stay: My Review of Aman Summer Palace My stay at the Aman Summer Palace was nothing short of magical, a true highlight of my trip to Beijing. I was immediately greeted by name—an astonishingly personalized welcome that set the tone for the entire visit. It felt less like checking in and more like being received as an honored guest. The hotel itself is a masterpiece of tranquility and luxury. The facilities, particularly the swimming pool, the gym with its top-notch machines and the unexpected bonus of a Reformer Pilates studio, were truly impressive. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. What makes this place a standout is its unrivaled access to the Summer Palace. The privilege of entering the grounds directly through a private back gate is an experience that cannot be replicated. It felt like a secret key to a world of imperial grandeur, allowing for peaceful, VIP moments before the public arrived. Every detail, from the seamless check-in to my reluctant departure, was handled with an effortless grace that made my solo journey feel utterly pampered. For anyone seeking a unique blend of historical immersion and luxurious retreat, Aman Summer Palace is an absolute dream.

The hotel is great!!! The food is really great!! And the staff is the best,!! We had a great time!! The massage was also very good!! We choose the strong one and it was strong indeed!! Tha k you for everything! We also used the secret door for the summer Palace which was super helpful!

An experience of tranquility. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and equipped with good amenities. It was very convenient that you can access the Summer Palace through the side door right next to my room. There are also lovely cats in the garden!

Always wanted to experience Aman Beijing, finally booked a one night stay. Upon arrival, Jason at the front desk was very helpful and patient in explaining various items and was pleasantly surprised to hear my room had been upgraded. The property and the room are just like the photos but actually physically being there and seeing all the details of the architecture, courtyards, and surrounding nature and birds is like being transported back in time to another era. In this sense, Aman Beijing accomplishes what no other modern five-star luxury hotel can come close to achieving - making one feel a certain emotion or feeling that they've never felt, or perhaps only experienced in their dreams. Everything from the furniture to the layout to the art to the lighting is so tastefully executed and done, the courtyards and grounds are kept immaculate (saw people sweeping away leaves), they even have the older style bicycles available to ride there. Ate at the Chinese restaurant twice, the environment and lighting is so nice, their dumplings are excellent and also really enjoyed some of their soups and vegetable offerings, very delicious. Unfortunately, I was quite sick that day and also had injured my knee the day before. One of the staff at the front desk noticed my limp and asked if I was okay. I told her I was fine, just a little sprain. She went to the back and brought out a traditional Chinese 'Ban Lan Gen' pain relief spray can which she kindly gave to me, saying I could use it and take it with me, very touched. I think it is moments like these which one will remember many years later. All the staff I met there were very kind, during lunch was fortunate enough to meet Ivy, the F&B Manager who was very warm and hospitable. Then during dinner, after I saw down, a restaurant staff asked if I would like an ice pack for my leg, I asked her if she thought it would help and she replied, "Yes." They proceeded to bring out a huge ice pack that was able to wrap around my entire knee, providing instant relief. Finally, when it was time to leave, the very lovely and kind Lucy asked if I would like more ice packs to be sent to my room so I could ice my knee before retiring for the night. Even though I was not feeling well, it was an unforgettable experience due in large part to the kind and wonderful staff there.

Best hotel in Beijing. Great service. Would stay there again!

Great place with Great Price

The Aman Summer Palace is like living in a fantasy. If you love the Summer Palace but want to avoid the crowds this is your choice. They have their own private gate. The staff are so friendly and the service is just amazing. I would give them more than 5 stars for service If I could. I am an executive for Resort development with Universal and I got a lot of great ideas during my stay. It is very quiet and peaceful and especially at night. I also had one of the best massages I can recall with a Shifu massuer. I am not sure what herbs he was using and I was dubious at first; but the proof is in the results. You just have to stay here at least once in your life!

First of all, I am very satisfied with all kind of service in Aman Summer Palace. All staffs are very kind and sincere. And I praise Jojo Feng who really helped us stay comfortable and enjoyable here. I felt that my family were likely to become part of Ming & Qing dynasty and travel back in the past. Definitely we will visit Aman summer palace again soon. This place really harmonizes with Yiheyuan very well.

Obvious it's been 3 years without international tourists. Time to restart service trainings including language and culture skills.
