Overall, the property could not claim to be four or five stars. I had made some enquiries beforehand, but their landline was not available all day (I complained about the problem at check-in, but they just said the line was busy at some time, which was not realistically acceptable). They shouldn't be accepting cheap Chinese local tours, which resulted in such a mess at the morning buffet. There was no air conditioning (centrally controlled) with an outside temperature of 28C, but they did not accept our request to make it work. This was the most frustrating issue during our stay. There was also a fridge-like box under the minibar, but it was just a box and had no freezing function!

The room was clean and the location was convenient, which we appreciated. However, the lack of a smart TV made it difficult to keep the kids entertained—there was no YouTube access and no English channels suitable for children. Additionally, the Wi-Fi in the room was quite weak, making it challenging to get any work done

this hotel refused to return my deposit after check out. I paid on the trip.com app in full. They said I never paid. They refused to call nor contact trip.com and insisted that they would keep the deposit to pay for the room. The worker at the front desk was very rude and refused to get a manager. I asked 100 times for a manager. They told me after 2 minutes that the manager would come. I was there for about 10 minutes and no manager came. I had to leave because I had high speed train tickets booked. So at this point, I left the hotel without my deposit being refunded. This employee is should be fired. This hotel should be removed from trip.com. They tried stealing 6,600 rmb from me. Luckily, I was able to get it back. This doesn’t make sense at all because when I checked in, they said I paid and they were only taking a deposit. Also, the hotel is not 5 star. It’s an old rundown hotel. They have lights broken in every room (I booked two rooms). Also, lots of uncivilized people staying here. I had to call security 4 times because it’s was almost midnight and people are yelling in the halls and hotels doors opened. I’ve lived in China for 5 years and this is one of the worst experiences that I’ve had. I’m going to be reporting this to the Chinese business bureau.

Convenient location, 10-15 min walk to nearest subway station, 20-25 min walk to Beijing train station. Clean, cosy, spacious room, clean linen and manchester. Quiet neighbourhood, a few eateries and convenience shops nearby. Very courteous, thoughtful and helpful staff. Highly recommended. Good value too!
