Cultural hotel stay at an affordable price - compared to 4 seasons at a few times the price, you get traditional style buildings as if you've stepped into a period drama (themed hotel), a serene environment within the accommodation (there's a distance from the main road/expressway outside). Lots of photo spots too - the walkways, entrance etc. Good location - Walking distance to the nearest metro station (12-15min walk) so you're well connected to the other parts of Beijing. Potential concerns - 1) Tatami room size: great views when you open the room door but if you are ＞1 pax with ＞1 medium size luggages (25-27inch) it gets squeezy. 2/3 of the room is the tatami sleeping area, the sink is in the open space between this and the bathroom. we had to take turns to open our luggage. 2) The room door is not closed tight so there's a small gap - cold air seeping in, insects, noise from the corridor and within the room can be heard clearly (e.g. passerbys can hear me packing luggage)

I stayed at Tai He Fu and had high hopes given its beautiful architecture and serene setting. While I truly appreciate the overall design and peaceful garden atmosphere, my experience left much to be desired. The room was quite small for the price, and not as comfortable as expected. Staff were polite but spoke little or no English, which made communication difficult. I also felt that the service wasn’t as warm or attentive as it could have been – even though staff had added my WeChat, follow-up or support was limited. Food and drinks were average. It may be helpful if the kitchen could adapt some dishes to suit international guests better. Despite the shortcomings, I’m still open to giving Tai He Fu another chance in the future. With improved hospitality and more guest-focused service, this place has the potential to be truly exceptional.

Everything was perfect! The kids loved the Panda room and all the little details were a nice surprise for them and made our trip so easy. The area is pretty quiet. The staff is nice and everything is spotlessly clean.

This is my second time at this hotel and each time it positively surprises me.

The hotel was very special. We booked it because of the scenery it had resembling an ancient Chinese palace. We had a chance to take some wonderful pictures. The location isn't exactly the most convenient. It's located in an developing area, so there's currently a lot of construction going on. The metro station is a block and a half away, which is a little bit of a walk. But bus stations are close by, so we ended up taking buses more often. There is also a big and new shopping center behind the metro station, where you can find many restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had the basic things, but didn't change from day to day, so by days 4-5, we got a bit bored of the food. The room in general was clean. I especially liked the extra tissue boxes placed around the room. I was a little disappointed by the condition of the shower, where there were visibly stains on the edges suggesting it hadn't been deeply cleaned in a long time. I would recommend staying 1-2 nights, especially if you will be visiting the Great Wall which is closer from this hotel (1-1.5 hour taxi/didi ride).

Cultural heritage architecture complex, it’s like living in a Qing palace complex with pavilion, lakes and gardens while the rooms are modern and well maintained. Unique experience only available in China’s old capital.

it was my second stay.. location is good.. peaceful environment.... staff is lil bit lazy but overall or is good.

The environment is imbued with a very strong Beijing culture and atmosphere, which is really great. When I went out for a walk in the evening, I actually saw two peacocks. What a stunning sight!

Traditional Chinese building style hotel. Housekeeping noticed I was using blanket as warmer and out the actual blanket in the bed. I didn't notice it was stack on top. Kudos to them. Breakfast very Chinese style, I liked the noodle bar. Will stay again.

Room is clean & comfy. Nice environment & oriental surroundings. Staffs are overall very nice and helpful. Breakfast is great with many choices available. Abt 30 mins' drive to Summer Palace, Yuan Ming Yuan & Tshing Hua.. abt 800m from the nearest metro station. Just 1 thing to improve on.. when we arrived at the concierge at night there was no one to help with our luggages & brought us to our room.. and there was no chairs for us to sit on.. after several requests a very young lady came to help us with a little trolley to carry more than 7 luggage bags.. it made me wonder, were there no men in the hotel? Anyway it would be much better if there are chairs being placed at the concierge area 'coz the reception is quite a distance from the waiting area.

Outside the hotel at the main road, much construction works were carrying out, it was noisy and dusty. Dont think can use the metro so be prepared to use Didi. The service and food (breakfast and buffet) in the restaurant were excellent. Room was clean and quiet. Scenery inside the hotel was good and peaceful. The peacocks look bad, tail feathers all gone. Close to Summer Palace and Qing Tomb. Will stay in this hotel again

#taihefu The lovely hotel we chose when visiting Beijing this year. The front office staffs are friendly and helpful. It is suitable for kids because they have a small "zoo" inside with peacocks, rabbits,...The room is clean, super huge bed!!! You should try roasted duck at the restaurant near the hotel, delicious. Will come back next time 🥰

Lovely stay at the hotel, room very comfortable, very nice selection for breakfast. The bunnies and peacocks are super cute 😊 Although far from central Beijing, it’s reachable by transport and also closer to train stations that serve the link to Badaling Great Wall.
