The Gefinor Rotana Hotel is located in a beautiful district of Beirut and is also close to the most important areas of the capital. I personally call the Gefinor Rotana Hotel my Middle East‘s: “Home-Away-from-Home”. There are many, many reasons for this positive accolade. Such as: On each stay the warm greeting of each hotel employee is always given to me. From the hotels doorman to the full Front Desk Reception Team, there is always a warm and kind greeting. On each stay the management team tries to provide me with a room upgrade to a Sea View Suite. And each time I use the Olive Garden Restaurant of the Moodz Lounge I hear from the staff: “Welcome back Mr. Webber”. The rooms at the Gefinor Rotana are large and clean. And no matter what meal you enjoy at the hotel each is simply fantastic and flavorsome. They have just started to have an automatic: “Turn Down Service”. I the past you needed to call housekeeping. Just another positive point in maintaining their five star service to exceed ones expectations. Also, the Gefinor Rotana is, in my humble opinion, The Best Five Star Hotel in all of Beirut. So, trust me, if you want to enjoy the best five-star hotel in Beirut, you must book a room at the Gefinor Rotana in the Hamarah District of Beirut, trust me you will not be sorry.

This hotel offers everything a traveler needs: Great location, big and comfortable rooms and very helpful staff. You can go on foot to Hamra, Cornice and Zaituna bay. The downtown area is close also. The room was big and comfortable. My room was on the 7th floor, thus I had good view. It is not a modern hotel but I enjoyed the atmosphere of it. The staff was kind and always happy to help. The only thing that needs improvement is the breakfast. It is not bad but not at the the level of a 5 star hotel.

The Rotana Gefinor still remains, in my humble opinion, the top five star hotel in Beirut. Why? Well it all starts when you book your reservation through their efficient useful web-site. And it continues when you pull up with your car to the hotels main entrance. The warm greeting that the Hotels Doorman gives you is most appreciated and gratifying. In addition, the Front Desk manager came out to welcome my wife and I. Once we entered, there were warm salutations from the Bell Staff and the Front Desk personnel. Our check in process was fast and efficient. The Front Desk Manager had good news for us as the hotel upgraded my wife and I to a lovely Sea Facing Suite with a large balcony. In addition they knew of my wife’s early departure from Beirut International Airport the next morning and informed us that they would provide the hotels complementary car to take my wife to the airport. They knew that my car had Syrian license plates thus not being allowed to enter the airport. Me both were quite grateful of their offer. He joined us to show us this special suite located on the 14th floor, The Bell Boy who took our suitcases remembered my name, which was quite nice. The management team had placed in our suite a delightful large Fruit Basket; a plate of Arabic Sweets; a bottle of my favorite Lebanese Red Wine and a hand-written personal Welcome Back Note. The suite was quite large and the balcony afforded a beautiful view of the city and lovely Mediterranean Sea. We also had access to their very nice Executive Lounge which is also located on the 14th Floor. The Rotana Gefinor Hotel is located on the famous Clemenceau Street in the Hamra district of Beirut, which is the most famous shopping area. in the afternoon In the afternoon, my wife and I went out for a nice and pleasant two hour walk. The bed was very, very comfortable thus making a very good sleep for both my wife and myself. The next morning my wife’s car was waiting for her exactly at the scheduled time. Then a bit later in the morning I had a very fantastic breakfast in the Olive Garden Restaurant and then went back to my suite to pack. I had a very fast and expeditious check-out process from the Rotana Gefinor Hotel. I anticipate my return to the Rotana Gefinor within the next several weeks. If you have never stayed at the Rotana Gefinor Hotel you should try it, I guarantee you will not be disappointed, trust me!

The hotel is a good property, in relation to the area and other hotels. Also good location not too close to traffic Hamra Str. and close enough to the sea cornice. Unfortunately the organization of the services was not up to the 4 Stars. First of all, breakfast at 6.30am was never ready, the rather careless waiters forgot cutlery in the buffet over the always warm age coffee, there was plenty but still the exact same things for all my stay of 10 days. The rooms are good but were arranged late in the afternoon and on several occasions per day, one day it was not even done. In the swimming pool, on the top floor, there was always very loud music, which prevented a minimum of relaxation, it seemed to me more a benefit for the staff than a careful service. The staff of the reception gas bene very kindley.
