India has always been known for its 'Hospitality' and Taj Hotels have been a torch bearer from the beginning to withstand and prove it time and over again. Our stay this time as well was a great experience. The location is so well placed that it has got the best of the region with a perfect ratio of controlled forest, perfect view of backwaters topped by beach side with gently and carefully placed pockets of luxury elements. I am more than 100% sure that it is nearly impossible to get a property for stay at such serene, peaceful and luxurious stay to make it a perfect holiday stay. Me and my family had a wonderful time spent together during our stay which shall compel has to be back soon. Many thanks for all the care and arrangements. See you soon!!

This property is absolutely beautiful, nestled between the sea and backwaters. It is truly a sight to behold and you have to see it to believe it. Incredibly private experience of tropical nature and the beach. It is unbelievable how beautiful this place is. Beach on one side and the backwaters on the other, is incredible. We really enjoyed early morning walks to the beach and sitting by the backwaters to read. It's super quiet with sounds of birds and other nature sounds. Ofcourse, all of this is topped with Taj hospitality, which is unmatched. The staff took great care of us, and I want to specially mention the below staff. Starting from our check in - I want to mention Pavitra and Srilakshmi. Ramakrishnan at the beach looked after us very well. By the Bay is their signature restaurant is worth an experience. Exceptionally good food and beautiful ambience. They had live singing also which was just amazing. Here I want to mention Prem, Ashwin, and Dipankar. Coming to breakfast and a few other meals that we had at Backwater cafe were amazing too. I want really thank Chef Abdul and Chef Santu. They're not only incredible chefs but also took great care of us. They made us feel special and really pampered us. I want to thank Chef Abdul for the chicken ghee roast once again, it is to die for. Also want to thank Avinash, Chef Sahoo, Soumajit, Khushi, and all the staff at Backwater cafe for their hospitality. Lastly want to thank Ram from the horticulture department. He maintained the greenery beautifully in our villa. That brings me to the accomodation itself, which was a villa with courtyard. It was worth the splurge and my god what an experience that was. Such privacy in the middle of paradise. Lastly I want to mention Feli at the spa.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Taj Bekal and had a great time though the weather was horrible as it was pouring heavily .The manager and staff took the utmost care to see we and our 2 year old son has a great time.I dont think i want to write a review of 200 characters but tripadvisor is forcing me to do the same hence writing this sentence .

General Manager Mr. Dineshji Verma welcomed us very warmly. We were offered a refreshing drink to beat the Bekal heat! Taj Bekal is a vibe. They use the house-boat material for the ceiling in the entire property to keep the culture alive and to support the local craftsmen. What a delightful idea. To our delight, GM upgraded us to Pool Villa which was super spacious dreamy, relaxing and evoked the true holiday vibe. We had a very comfortable stay. And even the staff at the restaurant knew that we were celebrating our anniversary (as updated by GM) and made sure we felt super special. All in all a lovely experience and we will surely return. Thank you for your hospitality.

My husband Kartik, and I loved our stay at Taj Bekal..We planned a three nights' stay which was enough to unwind and experience the natural beauty of North Kerala ***** with the hospitality of the property.. The staff was ever ready to assist us and we liked Supari the most with her earnest suggestions.. Having stayed at pother nature based resorts, we did not find any stray insects or disturbing encounters at the property- they managed the few stray insects very aptly.. None inside the rooms The food was yummy and great quality- the restaurant staff can improve their note-taking a bit and you shall have a perfect experience!

Great experience overall. Could not have asked for a better getaway for the long weekend. The staff was super helpful n ever smiling. Had a great time and everyone was always ready to help as required. Beautiful property in the lap of nature.

While endorsing all the positive review posted earlier about this Taj resort, one thing that stands out for me about this resort is a feeling of pleasure that the beauty of nature brings and the resort doesn’t disappoint you in offering pleasure of nature. Its secluded beach, although a bit rough at times hence unsuitable for venturing in to it, is clean and pristine and if you are a beach lover, you can just sit hours and watch roaring waves. In addition its lush green gardens, back water river, birds’ chirping sound coupled with Taj hospitality makes a perfect combination for a soothing pleasurable leisure trip. Our recent stay begun with a smooth check in and ended with a similar check out experience. Thanks to Ms Helina and all other front office staff. There, even base category rooms are big enough with generous open space with a view. Food, in their coffee shop The Back Water Café, was in variety and tasty. Despite the fact that the resort was sold out during our stay, crowd was well managed by the staff particularly during morning hours. Although fine dining experience was expectedly missing in the café due to routine hustle bustle. You can consume the food but cannot consume the experience of being in a luxurious environment. The Ivory Bar has good selection of cocktails and cozy ambience. Thanks Abhit. Housekeeping deserves a mention for maintaining such a sprawling property. In case you are not a nature lover and don’t want to enjoy beach, the resort has activities like zip line, kayaking etc to keep you engaged including a spa and salon. A perfect destination for a peaceful quite vacation.

Our stay at Taj Bekal was elevated not only by the luxury and beauty of the resort but also by the exceptional service provided by its staff. From the culinary artistry of Chef Majid and Sobin, to the seamless hospitality of Mr. Pinto, Miss Khusi, and Ms. Priyanka, every moment was crafted with care. They made us feel valued and cherished, turning a simple vacation into an unforgettable celebration of life, love, and Kerala’s stunning beauty.

We had a very convenient, pleasant and relaxed stay at Taj Bekal. The attention to detail is well visible and hospitality is at its best. Under the able leadership of GM Dinesh Varma and his team of Pradeep, Prem Kumar and Jason, the hotel has transformed into a must-visit, must-stay, must-go place in South India. Lobby is very well maintained , kids have their dedicated play area and the check in - check out experience is swift. Food is delicious - met Chef Ambu who took care of everyone's needs. The breakfast buffet is well planned, not rushed and staff is very meticulous. Both restaurants have fantastic food. Pool is well maintained, beach side is good .. water can be choppy but the blend of backwaters and beach makes it a delight. The spa is one of the best in South Asia .. Zipline is worth it. Overall, lots to do.
