An absolute gem! Peter and Pam were wonderful hosts. The Presbytery has been beautifully and tastefully restored (I wondered if she had a background in interior design?). Our room was clean with comfortable beds. Peter served us gourmet breakfasts with locally sourced ingredients, including eggs benedicts, on the 2nd day. The house itself is one of a kind and you can tell that the owners have dedicated years to lovingly restore this historic building in the small town of St-Vallier. We had coffee before breakfast on the wrap-around porch overlooking their beautiful garden and pagoda. We attended a wedding next door in the church and this B&B would be ideal for a wedding party as well as for guests who are seeking a getaway in a charming little area (the village and nearby areas have beautiful farms and beautifully preserved French-Canadian homes). Happy we found this place!

Fell in love from the moment we drove up. The building is beautiful and the garden is inviting and breathtaking. Stepped inside to the incredibly well preserved space, with every room immaculately decorated. Peter and Pam were so warm and welcoming; really perfect hosts. We had booked the 2-room "Apartements du curé", and it was exactly as per the photos, and perfectly comfortable. Breakfast was an experience! Gorgeous table set luxuriously, and the breakfast prepared by Peter lived up to the setting. Left, wishing we had booked more than 1 night, and hoping to return.

We enjoyed ourselves immensely at this interesting, historic property. The building itself is unique and a little quirky, but Peter and Pamela have done a great job of renovating and decorating it. The rooms are "elegant in a monastic sort of way" and Pamela's artistic eye and beautiful furnishings and accents lend the space a welcoming, sophisticated ambience. Peter's breakfast was fabulous and included excellent coffee. We passed on the offer of a home-cooked, four-course supper the night we arrived--filet mignon or Arctic Char--but we're sure it would have been delicious. Peter and Pamela, even though they are fairly new innkeepers, really know how to treat their guests. They are warm, talkative, helpful, and flexible. We highly recommend Le Vieux Presbytere when you're near Quebec City. The villages between Saint-Vallier and the capital are charming and worth a visit, even in winter.

Très beau bâtiment, rempli d'histoire! Les hôtes sont charmants et très généreux. La literie de lin est d'une grande qualité et nous emmène au pays des rêves! Les déjeuners, servis à la grande table avec les autres convives, sont délicieux!

Peter et Pamela sont remarquables. Merci beaucoup pour la sagesse, la gentillesse, le chaleureux accueil que vous avez apporté à notre soirée de fin d'année et notre séjour (maman, papa et 4 enfants) Propreté numéro 1 irréprochable, haute gamme Très bien accueillis, très bien servi, le repas copieux est très bon Quelle belle transformation de ce lieu historique, unique en son genre, bonheur total On retournera sûrement.
