Just returned back from the TUI Blue Riviera. We booked half board via Tui. So just to be clear, when I leave a review I say it exactly as it is, the good and the not so good . We have travelled to countless hotels around Spain, Canary Islands, Majorca, Minorca and further afield, we try to pick nice hotels, usually going for 3 or 4 star, sometimes we push the boat out to 5 stars. The reason for saying this is that we have very good experience of what to expect from these types of hotels . So I'll try to split my comments down as Pros, Cons, Rooms, Entertainment, Food, ect ect, adding some info explaining my reasoning if it is needed. Pros : Very friendly staff, very good air conditioning through out, great location for the beach/marina/shops/bars, cocktails freshly made and good quality, (but they should be as your paying for them). No kids running around. You can use the Terrace Chill out area for 20 euros, this includes 2 loungers & 2 cocktails per day, it has to be booked in advance. Its basically an astro turfed area on the roof, no toilets up there, no bar, no splash pool, just the loungers and plenty of space. Accessed by a lift or stairs. Cons: Without doubt definitely NOT a 4 star hotel, a very average 3 at best. Pool area small and can get over crowded, also not cleaned very well. Many sun loungers are dirty and broken. Dreadful outside access to the main entrance for anyone with mobility issues, it's basically two very steep and uneven slopes off the main road down to the entrance, an accident just waiting to happen, if it already hasn't ! The rule of not leaving towels on sun loungers is an absolute joke. There were guests going down to bag their loungers as early as 7.15am. Guests average age is probably around the 70 ish, but dont be fooled by that, these are Premier League Pensioners when it comes to bagging a sun lounger in the mornings, they sprint like Linford Christy in the mornings hurdling over chairs and tables to get the perfect spot. Entertainment: Usual daily stuff around the pool , like water aerobics headed by the very very very loud TUI rep, not much more going on than that. Night time entertainment, included a bit of bingo, live singers on two occasions, and the same loud TUI rep showing how they play some sort of board game in her home country, yes we were a bit baffled as well. Rooms: Modern feel but in desperate need for a make over. Cleaned daily, but as the saying goes " You cant polish a t*rd", see photos, (unfortunately some of the photos I took of the showers did not save, they were showing old dirty silicon around the shower base and sinks) Pool/beach view obscured by the ridiculously large tree that sits directly in front of almost every room on the pool side of the hotel. This should be removed as guests are paying extra for decent views. After around 4pm all rooms on the pool side are in the shade. Good air conditioning. Tea & coffee making facilities Fridge. TV, with limited English channels Ver
