Sandos Monaco - Adults Only

Great value and service. Well located for the beach and bars. The entertainment at the hotel is really good with friendly staff. The room is a good size and always cleaned daily. Plenty of choice at the buffet and drinks at the bar. Plenty of space around the pool and no problem getting a lounger. Thoroughly recommended!

Just a quick review to show our appreciation for the staff at this hotel. We are 4 retired professionals, we go for 5 nights and this is our 7th visit to this hotel. Benidorm has a lot to offer and this hotel is not far away from where you need to be. We have a short break each September and having had 3 years trying other destinations, we were back to this one. Other places just didn't measure up in terms of quality and value. The rooms are comfortable, the food is great and the staff we encountered, were all friendly, helpful and professional. We did not recognise any staff from previous visits except Nicky the Customer Relations Manager. She remembered us and welcomed us back. She is so helpful and busy looking after any welfare needs of guests. A few little niggles that didn't distract from a good break here; We didn't particularly enjoy the Indian restaurant at the sister hotel but that's personal choice. The shower temperature can fluctuate and there's a charge for using the safe. Otherwise a very pleasant stay (again) and I would recommend this hotel. The entertainment is better than it was and you're only a short walk (assuming reasonable mobility) from plenty of bars with tribute bands and so on. Benidorm is not for everyone but still a good, value for money resort. We'll be back...

I'm still here, leave on Monday and I'm bemused by the mixed reviews. I cannot fault anything and for me that is unusual. The rooms are spotless and cleaned daily, the staff from reception, bars, poolside bar, restaurant are all polite and can't do enough for you. The food in the restaurant and pool bar is excellent quality and varied with fresh breads, fruit, deserts and drinks. The entertainment is decent, sure it's not professional but it's decent and if you are that bothered you can walk the short distance to the bars in town but for those wanting to relax the hotel is fine. There has been mention about the pool being shaded, it is at some points but surprisingly it's still warm and the outside jacuzzi is also a welcome addition. There is a spa on site (not used yet) but you have to pay, it is however not expensive. Will I be back? Yes, it's great here.

We've just returned from a really lovely break at the Sandos Monaco. The communal areas of the hotel are beautifully maintained and kept spotless. The pool area was lovely, a very restful environment for the most part, broken up by occasional games of water volleyball and the like, which were fun to cheer on! We were very happy with our room, it was clean and well-appointed and had everything we needed including the entirely essential kettle for making tea! The room we booked as a double had two twin beds pushed together - we would have preferred an actual double, but the beds were wider than normal twin beds and so we both still had plenty of space and slept well. Our room overlooked the pool and entertainment area, which meant it was very loud in the evenings while the entertainment was on, however this finished by midnight every single night so absolutely wasn't disruptive to our sleep. The absolute high points for me personally were the hotel staff and the restaurant. The staff were amazing, absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them, and they were polite, professional and cheerful at all times. In particular, Raul, Carlos, Nelly and Debora all went out of their way to help us in different ways. An absolute credit to the hotel in every way. The restaurant was superb. We went all inclusive for the first time, having heard good things about the hotel's provision for dietary needs and were not disappointed. I am gluten intolerant so was, as always, apprehensive before we arrived - I didn't need to be. On our very first night I talked to Raul, the amazing Maitre d', who immediately fetched one of the chefs from the kitchen (Carlos, I think?) to give me a complete guided tour of what was and wasn't safe for me to eat from the food available that night - this was repeated at every meal that I asked for it (a few times I didn't need it as I wanted something I'd had and enjoyed previously). On the first night there was no gluten free dessert available, so Raul provided me with a box of GF chocolate biscuits to take to our room instead and I was delighted! After that, GF chocolate cake was available every day if I wanted it. The food in general was widely varied and beautifully prepared. Different main courses appeared each night throughout the week, there was fresh fruit, salad, cheese, cold meats and yoghurt available at every meal, and everything I tried was fantastic. I felt completely safe eating in the restaurant, and made it to the end of the week without a single gluten reaction, which is almost unprecedented. Overall we were delighted by our stay here, and wouldn't hesitate to book again if revisiting Benidorm in the future. 10/10 !

Stayed at sandos monaco 10th-20th aug . Central to everywhere literally 10mins from the beach,old town and new town. Beds really big and comfortable slept really well .we had a deluxe room all inclusive. Room was spacious and immaculate. Food was really good plenty of choice , constantly topped up and nice and hot. For anyone who says food is the same and boring I'd really like to know what they eat at home. There was different every day, ribs steaks , porkchops , lamb chops, chicken , fish, pizza, burgers, Sunday roast ,veggie station the list goes on . Plenty of sun on the terrace ,pool gets the sun a bit later but nice to cool down even when in the shade. Staff ,excellent, friendly and constantly cleaning tables. I have on one bug bear and that was the pigeons. It's so easy to solve. PUT YOUR FOOD RUBBISH IN THE BIN. Some people just left food on the tables and walked away. Put sign up asking people not to feed the birds and put rubbish in the bins provided. All in all a lovely place with definitly be returning . Thankyou sandos monaco xx
