Sol y Sombra

I recently stayed at the Sol y Sombra alongside 7 of my friends. We are all 23/24 year old English “lads” and were originally apprehensive given some of the reviews from other English folk. However, I can safely say our stay was very pleasant. The rooms are admittedly a bit dated however they do the job and are clean. Most of the guests are elderly Spanish people but they were friendly and along as we weren’t loud and obnoxious, we had no issues. The staff were excellent, spoke plenty of English and were extremely helpful throughout our trip. The rooftop pool is small however it has a great view and is not too busy throughout the day. The hotel is a half hour walk to the main strip and just around the corner from the coast. All in all, some of the reviews paint out this hotel as a “do not stay” if you’re English when in reality, it was pleasant and great value for money. Thank you to the staff on the front desk who really stood out and made their best efforts to help us with any questions (despite our lack of Spanish!)

good hotel in the location ,very comfortable .I will suggest to live 1 night i hope you will like it.We are like many things like food,entertainment ,music,pool party and more things that can be out standing.I hope i will go agian into this hotel

Beautiful. well maintained hotel.food was superb rooms were spotless with comfy beds.all staff were equally lovely and accepting of us Scottish residents.lovely rooftop area with pool again well maintained and spotless.hopefully we will be welcomed back.thankyou for having us.

Very cozy and clean hotel in Benidorm, very spacious with a large number of rooms, it is not very modern but it is quite comfortable, it has a pool in the attic, and a buffet with a wide variety of food and drinks, it is located on the west beach and Very close to the beach

No cumplen los horarios del comedor. Antes de que llegue la hora tope tienen todo recogido. Una cosa es no admitir a nadie más cuando llega la hora tope y otra muy distinta es entrar dentro del horario y que toda la comida esté retirada del buffet y encima malas contestaciones por parte de las camareras.

Este hotel es un poco justo en cuanto a instalaciones ya que por ejemplo no tiene ningún salón para estar o ver televisión, solo una amplia cafetería que sirve para todo, pero tiene piscinas una en un solar frente al hotel y otra arriba. La comida no es una ejemplo de variedad pero está bien hecho todo y se come bien. El personal justo pero agradable y competente. Un hotel de 3 estrellas más que aceptable y bien ubicado.
