An exceptionally good 2 week stay - I literally have nothing negative to say about this resort! We’ve spent 9 weeks over the last year in Mexico, and this was the very best resort in my opinion. Firstly, this is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in, and we have literally travelled the world. Our room was cleaned immaculately daily, and all communal areas were exceptionally clean - I saw the pools being cleaned numerous times during our stay which was a first within all the resorts I have stayed. We travelled with TUI, and the rep Karen was available 6 days a week 8-11am. Coach transfer was 20 mins from Cancun.. just be aware the road around the resort is literally in the middle of a swamp and waterlogged and full of pot holes - don’t let it put you off! Check in was fine, we carried our bags to the room ourselves and weren’t offered any refreshments, nor had they acknowledged our email prior to arrival detailing my husband’s birthday, which was fine as he doesn’t actually like a fuss! We had a standard king room on the 3rd floor with a pool and sea view - I was glad of being on the 3rd floor as the upper floors seemed to have no shelter from the rain on the balcony, whereas we were fairly sheltered, and the rain was sporadic in October. The room was exceptionally well equipped with fridge full of water, stocked coffee pods machine, and all toiletries you could need. It had both a rainfall and standard shower and hairdryer, robes, and iron and board. Emily was our housekeeper throughout our stay and was really exceptional - our room was immaculate every single day! We had 35000 points to spend in the shop to stock our mini bar during our stay, but spent the entire amount on bags of coffee to bring home, as there was no need to spend on anything else! Just go to the bar on the way to your room ;) We spent our days by the “quiet pool” which had the jacuzzis, reading and drinking cocktails delivered by Izzy. She was so friendly and welcoming. I did wake at sunrise very morning to grab a cabana, but only as I am from the UK and stuck 6 hours behind Mexican time! You would have been fine getting a sunbed at most times of the day in October, apart from Saturdays/Sundays when the majority of Americans seem to visit, and the hotel is a lot busier, and all sunbeds seemed to be reserved by 8am with no one sat at them - I loved the fact that there was nothing extra to pay for cabanas which is not often the case in Mexico. Every evening we returned to the room at 4-5pm, watched some Netflix on the fire stick, before having a couple of cocktails in the lobby bar. The lobby bartenders are masters and can make literally any cocktail you ask for - they often put on a show with fire and smoke which is cool to watch. The lobby bar before dinner often had live musicians playing violin etc, it really was exceptional. We found it stressful at the start of our stay not being able to get reservations in the l’a’carte restaurants through the conci
