Aaok Lakes Resort and Caravan Park

We booked a quick last min trip to NT and wanted to do it cheap. It is budget but very comfortable and met all our needs. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The staff were amazing helpful and friendly. Happy hour was very enjoyable talking to the guests and staff. If you plan too cook I would suggest you have your own cutlery but we managed to find what was needed for cooking in the camp kitchen was also clean and the BBQ cooks great hot and fast.

Had a lovely stay. Park is under new management and were friendly and helpful. Good facilities and close to lots of attractions. We spent the weekend and took the kids to barra farm and berry springs nature park. Lunch at berry springs tavern and Darwin river tavern, would recommend both. There is a pool at the resort but we didn’t get a chance to use it. A few communal fire pits. They are planning to open the restaurant soon which will be a great addition as it’s a lovely space.

The facilities were not in good maintenance and were looking a little bit of abandonment. The area looks good but needs more care in the facilities like a share kitchen. The toilets weren't very cleaned and were a little dark to have shower in the night

Seriously, find out for yourself and be amazed. Inread the reviews before I booked and again before we arrived. Some people! We stayed in our Transporter van. Under the shade of the large trees. We had access to power, water, and bathrooms. Perfect. Now some other reviewers mentioned oh tjere is a bar and you can eat there if you want that. I am telling you to WANT that. Happy hour, $5, select drinks. The meals cooked by the managers, bloody good. We drove around to a few pubs today who had chefs and whatnot, and the dinner we had last night, a simple burger and barra and chips, beat them all. There is a pool, 2 camp kichens and lots of shade. There are sites that have dirt, hello, where are we? Grass is the excellent exception. Live music as well. The location is minutes from Berry Springs pools and the Wildlife park. We drive 18 minutes to Humpty Do. Come and stay and park your bias at the door and experience everything that is on offer here, starting with the great management team.

Well appointed cabin in grassy caravan park We were in a nicely appointed cabin but it had no bathroom, however the amenities block was just next door. Reasonably priced. Really well stocked kitchen - plug-in hot plates, microwave, cooking utensils, etc. Comfy bed with PowerPoints on both sides, which was a plus

Staff unfriendly - really need some customer service lessons. Few things wrong with the rooms. Area is fine but nothing special.
