In the midst of the SoCal summer heat, I found myself with a four-day empty stretch on my calendar. Usually, I like to go to Colorado for relief from the heat, but lacking either the time or funds for a Colorado trip, I hoped that the "Colorado Lodge" might substitute. I wasn't disappointed. For most of my stay, I sat on the porch of my little cabin home and listened to nothing but the wind in the pines. Very therapeutic. The interior of my cabin was clean and well-appointed. I had everything I needed including excellent WiFi. From an aesthetic standpoint, I'll admit that it was a little incongruous to step from the woodsy exterior into a modern, minimalist interior. But I DID like the fact that this cabin was scrupulously clean and NOT equipped with critters from the woodsy outside, as so many mountain cabins are. Caveat: the cabins and their picnic tables are separated from one another, but not by a great distance. So if you're here on a weekend, you might end up listening to your neighbors' multi-family parties. Until 2 AM. But midweek, this place was a paradise for me. I'll be back. Midweek. :-)

I visited recently for one night. I read the other reviews, some were scary. I’m so glad I did not use those reviews to plan this trip. I had to be in Big Bear for an event and I wanted a place that didn’t look like the country bear jamboree. Colorado Lodge was a breath of fresh air! It wasn’t perfect- I got there at check in and the room wasn’t ready so I had to wait 45 minutes. Not cool and they need to work on that, but it was exceptionally clean. No stains, cobwebs, mold or funkiness anywhere. It was well designed (although the clothes rack with shelves could use some improvement). I loved the simple layout, good use of materials and great lighting. It’s a work in progress there but a solid thumbs up in style. Big Bear needs this kind of place to get it into the 21st century. Already planning a return trip.

Stayed here this weekend with my boyfriend and we loved it! Very cute and cozy! Had everything you need and was very clean, even got to use the hot tub. Property management was quick to respond to any questions we had. Will Definity be back!

This cozy cabin in Big Bear was the exact getaway I needed from Los Angeles. The decor was modern and cozy, and I felt right at home. Loved the jacuzzi, full kitchen, and recommendations of local spots to walk to. Highly recommend as a solo trip or with a group. Any time of year is perfect: cozy up in winter or grill outside in the summer!

I recently visited Colorado Lodge and loved it! The perfect cabin for a getaway. The cabin was clean, cozy, well designed and conveniently located. Highly recommend staying here on your next trip to Big Bear!

Property was clean, cozy, and complete. Property has gas stove and oven with a handsome supply of pots and pans. Outside and immediately adjacent is a propane BBQ and even an outdoor pizza oven! The furnishings are modern and inviting. I will definitely be coming back.

Cannot wait to return to the Colorado Lodge and make more memories! I loved the private jacuzzi, bonfire pit to make s'mores, and all of the amenities inside the cabin. I also really liked that it was about a 5 min drive to Big Bear Lake and also near Big Bear Lake Village.

Super cool modern type cabin. Extremely clean! I’ve water in fridge and ice in the freezer was nice. Nice bbq on patio. Very quite cabin setting. Walking distance to grizzly breakfast cafe, We will definitely be back

This is hands down the best lodging in Big Bear. Such cool, modern cabins! Beautifully designed, furnished with everything you need, jacuzzi on property, close to everything including snow play and restaurants, hosts are awesome and responsive. I love Colorado Lodge, I can’t see staying anywhere else when I’m in Big Bear.
