This is a wonderful, quiet and cozy Inn located in historic Black Mountain. Stayed here April 2025 and already made reservations to stay again in October. My room, the Black Bear, was clean, comfortable and well laid-out, with a desk and chair in the corner for working on my laptop. Special thanks and compliments to Violet, who does a splendid job of innkeeper, cook and waitress, taking care of myriad jobs mostly by herself. I can say honestly, she is a jewel. I will greatly look forward to stay here again in the fall.

What a simply marvelous inn to rest and relax in Black Mountain. This was our first visit to The Red Rocker Inn, but it most definitely won’t be our last! It was quiet & peaceful n& beautifully decorated with gorgeous antiques. The bed was so comfortable & the breakfast was just scrumptious!

Such a lovely atmosphere… I love the Red Rocker Inn. This was my 4th visit~ and hopefully there will be many more to come. Giant thanks to Mike & Katy (owners) & to Violet, the lovely and thoughtful Innkeeper for making my stay exactly what I needed- rest and refreshment!

The Red Rocker in was the perfect location for our visit to WNC. It’s an easy walk to town to visit the restaurants and shops. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We were stuck in traffic and arrived later than expected but we notified Violet and she met us at our new arrival time. We enjoyed the fresh-cooked breakfast each morning to start the day. The room was cozy and clean and just what we wanted for our visit. I highly recommend staying at Red Rocker!

The Red Rocker and the area continue to deal with the aftereffects of the Hurricane that hit just 60 days before. The owners let us know that they allowed volunteers to use rooms to assist the area during the time the Inn was effectively closed. This was commendable to hear. Our family had 5 rooms during this stay and were thankful the Inn was up and running again. There were 14 of us in all, and the owners made us feel as if we were at home -- and the Thanksgiving dinner was great! We highly recommend supporting Black Mountain and the Red Rocker and they continue to come back from the storm.

We returned recently from our stay in Black Mountain at the Red Rocker Inn. We really enjoyed the bed-and-breakfast. It is very close to everything. We stayed in the largest room, the Savannah suite. It was neat and clean and had everything we needed. The owners and other workers are just a delight! They were very kind, hospitable, and helpful. We ate breakfast there each morning and it was delicious! We enjoyed the parlor room where you could talk with others, play games, watch TV. We also enjoyed a great time rocking in the many rockers on the front porch. If we were to come to Black Mountain again, we would definitely stay at the Red Rocker Inn!

The Red Rocker Inn has always been a favorite place for us! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is superb and the staff is friendly and attentive. We look forward to staying again! Good luck to the Inn and Black Mountain in storm recovery. Suzanne

The food was excellent. The staff so friendly and kind. And it's within walking distance of everything you could want to do. I can't say enough great things about the whole weekend. You would never know the town was devastated by a hurricane just one year ago

We chose to stay at the Red Rocker Inn for a family event in the area. The inn was the perfect place to stay; each room is uniquely beautiful. The dining room with white tablecloths was first class and the made to order breakfast was delightful. It is an easy walk from Red Rocker to downtown Black Mountain and we enjoyed dinner at My Father's Pizza. I would highly recommend a stay at the Red Rocker Inn in Black Mountain and we will plan to return.
