Federation Gardens & Possums Hideaway

Everything was fantastic, from the first point of contact (phone call to Jess) to our arrival greeting. The whole property is absolutely stunning, beautiful gardens & surroundings. Great separation of areas for family’s and the couples hideaway only area. Within the Yurt-style accommodation, everything you need is there. Even a little treat for the occasional nocturnal possum visitor. It’s a spacious accommodation with outside area all around. Fully equipped kitchen, a very comfy bed, a lovely spacious spa & a fire place. It’s a real hideaway, feels so private and away from the world, even though it’s only a couple km’s away from Blackheath shops and cafes, and Evans lookout at the end of the road. We had chosen the property as our honeymoon and we feel to have made a great choice. So looking forward to returning there again.

Magnificent couple retreat where you are able to create special memories for you and your partner. There are multiple activities on the premises that you can choose to take part in or you can relax in your amazing accommodation, with a real log fire blazing away. There is spectacular walk next to the property that is divine and the Manager Jess is the epitome of happiness and desire to make your stay wonderful. It's heaven for a couple, away from the noise and bustle of city life.

From the moment we arrived at Federation Gardens we were welcomed by friendly reception staff. Jess was lovely, and she guided us to our extremely comfortable and cosy lodge. The kids loved the games room, pool, fire pit, and the scavenger hunts were so much fun (we broke into teams and got competitive). Us adults also enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing surrounds, and the cave walk which is nearby is definitely worth the walk - amazing views over the mountains. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed here over new years and had an amazing time. The location is perfect, it feels private but is only a short distance from Blackheath town. The cottage was so cute and spacious, so much room for the four of us. It was really nice to be in nature and it is only a short walk from the start of a good bushwalk. We loved using the tennis court, and, though we didn’t use it, there is also a pool! Thank you very much for your hospitality Jess and team :)

Beautiful getaway in gorgeous surroundings - possum cabins perfect as a solo traveller and also for couples. Close to wonderful walks and a short drive away from wonderful restaurants. Huge spa bath and toasty fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen if you want to eat in.

So pleased to have had the opportunity to stay in Federation Gardens as we had to cancel our annual visit earlier in the year. Jess did her usual wonderful job of looking after us and we enjoyed relaxing in and around the property as well as exploring local tracks and Blackheath. The accomodation was clean, well equiped and very comfortable . We look forward to our next visit !
