The Gatsby Blackpool - Formerly the Windsor

From the minute I walked through the door I was greeted with the best Yorkshire (I know it’s Blackpool!) from Yorkshire born and bred Craig and Julie. Nothing was too much trouble and these are exactly the kind of people that should be in this business. Passionate, warm, welcoming, professional, with an incredible attention to detail. The B&B has been gut renovated to the highest standard with amazing craftsmanship with a wonderful 1920’s inspired aesthetic in keeping with the age of the building and it’s just gorgeous. All the rooms I looked at had the wow factor. I was staying in a single occupancy room and even that room was boutique hotel in style with amazing bedding and luxe headboard, warm and cosy with great towels, lovely hot shower and tea/coffee facilities. Everything you could need. The location is also accessible into town with the added bonus of being quiet and peaceful for a great nights rest. And if that’s not enough a wonderful selection of home cooked breakfasts are on offer the next morn FREE of charge with an added bonus of home made marmalade by Craig. You can even buy some to take home with you! The work that has gone into The Gatsby is truly incredible and I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Craig and Julie really are the dream team, I wish them every success (they deserve it!) and look forward to returning for longer!

Craig and Julie are the ultimate hosts, it is really a home from home experience in their beautiful hotel. The location is ideal, with free parking directly outside. Thehotel itself has been lovingly and sympathetically restored to a very very high standard, every guest need has been thought of Craig and Julie cannot do enough for their guests,you feel relaxed and at home the moment you walk through the door. Craig is also the breakfast chef, the breakfasts here are among the best I've ever tasted with quality ingredients. Everything rounded off by delicious homemade lemon or orange marmalade, what a treat! I stayed in a single room and I have to say, the standard of cleaning was above and beyond what you will see anywhere, absolute perfection. Perhaps it's a personal thing but I found the mattress a bit soft and springy, others of course may prefer that. Overall, The Gatsby must be in the top 5 hotels in Blackpool, you'll be pleased you chose to stay there.

Lovely hosts, very informative, friendly and chatty people. Clean and stylish accommodation. Great choice at breakfast and of good quality. Quiet location and free parking on the street but plenty of spaces. 5 minute walk to the tram stop and if you download the tram app you can get discounted group day tickets. Perfect location for the illuminations. Recommended.

Always a warm welcome. Our room was stunning with everything we needed. The showers are hot and hosts can’t do enough for you. The breakfast is hot just how we like it and excellent fresh coffee too. This is a return visit to the Gatsby and we will definitely be back

This is hands down the best bnb in Blackpool julie and craig are super hosts the gatsby is spotless...the location is fab.. one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in we slept like babies.. now the breakfast wow craig puts his heart into breakfast the eggs benedict was divine and the full English was superb we had the plessure of trying Craig's homemade marmalades delicious our whole experience of staying at the gatsby has no negatives at all thank you julie and craig for having us we will definitely be back again x

The hotel is to a superior standard, with each room having its own unique style. The hosts make you feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. There is a large selection for breakfast and produce is to a high quality. We have been returning year on year, enjoying everything Blackpool has to offer. Excellent choice and excellent value for money, you won’t be disappointed!
