South Beach Hotel

Hi I'm not happy with what has happened with our stay at your place. 1, no evening meal option. 2, our room number 2 is freezing cold. 3, room number 3 electrical wire hanging down in bathroom. 4, on Monday we come back to hotel to get a drink just after 9pm everywhere downstairs closed. 5, new years eve you said we would have entertainment only to be told at 7.45 nothing is planned. 6, you advertise WiFi and no WiFi is available. 7, room 2 bathroom door screws coming out hinges so door loose. 8, room 4 the bathroom tap very loose. I'm not happy about this at all

Very poor management at this hotel. Would NOT stay here again. Had to cancel a booking that's 3 months away. Despite promises of a refund, no refund has been received. Phone calls to the hotel just result in being palmed off and given "the managers" mobile number which is never answered. Shame on Dheeraj and Piyush Joshi. They've ruined what was once a great hotel. Currently in talks with Trading Standards with them.

We always request our repeat guest to book direct with us as do understand the circumstances can be change, we are really flexible for our all respective guest who book directly with us so we can refund, free of cost date change free parking free early check in late check out etc unfortunately you book a non refundable reservation on *********** on their terms still we offer you £50%, also we have to pay commission to them. For your convenience we we offer you free date change etc. If the booking direct with hotel you may have 100% refund. I completely understand that the booking was through *********** but due to the nature of having to cancel this because of an illness that will not get better *********** were brilliant, understanding and advised us that they would contact you direct and that also there would be no commission, or fee for you to pay! I also informed you that this was an illness that meant things will not be getting better but worse so a future date therefore is not going to be possible much to our upset. This means that you will be profiting £100.00 for a room that will most likely be booked again by a customer. This has been booked well in advance. I am disappointed that you have not taken the personal circumstances into consideration. Of note this refund has still not been received!! Even though I have actioned everything my end, following the link that was sent. I will not be recommended this hotel to any friends, family or colleagues.

We stayed two nights in a seaview room. The bad.. Free parking & Free breakfast? Not at this place...? Parking is on a first come first served basis, with about 10 spaces that cost £10. Had we known, due to the missus being disabled, we'd have not booked here. You can park on the road for a quid an hour until 2200, when it is then free until 1000. So you will have to find somewhere to park. First impression as you arrive is a run down motel, that could do with a lick of paint all over & some repair work done to the frontage. Breakfast (we didn't partake) but it isn't free as advertised. Heating would have been nice. The TRV was removed so for the 2 nights, we had no heating other then the convector heater which we were lent. The shower head fell off the holder while in use, so it either pointed over the shower door, or you had to hold it. The shower cubicle was wee. Just enough room for a slim person to be able to lather your legs, if you weren't holding the shower head ha! The flat screen TV was the size of a small laptop screen with a remote that didn't work. So for the few times we wanted to just sit on the bed (no chairs) & relax, we watched whatever was on Channel 4 😂. The door handle (or rather the nub) was loose. So we had difficulty locking & opening the door to our room . As well as closing the door using the loose nub due to lack of grip on my fingers. The bed, oh my lord, so uncomfortable. After night one, I debated going back to the car, or sleeping on the floor with the duvet & pillows piled under me. It was somewhat rock solid with a few lumps in it. By night two, I couldn't carry my bag without groaning. The hallways could do with air fresheners. I know you can't chose the guests, but there was a constant smell of ****. The building is clearly none smoking, there are signs everywhere. So it is the smell of those who do partake, & walk the smell back in. The seaview room we booked did Not match the photo, which showed a bay window (nope), a couple of comfy chairs (no chairs at all). The Good... Smashing view of the beach! The staff were very friendly. The location.

Hi Sam and team Just want to say massive thank you to you and your staff for making our weekend enjoyable. This is the 2nd year at South beach with family. This year we booked 8-rooms, all clean and full working order. We all had a great time, breakfast was lovely and bar man and concierge was fab. A credit to South Beach. See you in 2025 😀

Lovely hotel with an excellent breakfast. Staff could not do more for you if they tried. They were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The bar was cosy and friendly. We will definitely stay again. The view was lovely and I really can't find any thing that was wrong with the hotel. Lovely stay
