The Garden House

The Garden House is located in a quiet corner of the expansive grounds of Coombe Lodge. The rooms are very clean, the beds comfortable and the breakfasts have everything you would expect from cereal up to and including a very tasty full English. All the staff are very pleasant. If you are attending a function at the main building or using The Garden House as a base to explore the area, you will not be disappointed.

It was a lovely place to stay. The area is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and they definitely are there to help you enjoy your stay.

The Garden House is set in the beautiful grounds of Coombe Lodge, which hosts functions like weddings, so a perfect place to stay if you're a wedding guest. Great place to explore Mendip Hills and the gorgeous Somerset countryside. Free parking is directly outside with 2 EVcharging outlets. The room was small, comfortable, limited hanging and luggage space but enough for a few days stay. The shower was over the bath which which was fine for us, but too difficult for the mother-in-law to step over even with the fitted grab handles, a walk in shower might be an idea for a limited mobility room. We mentioned an issue with our room to Ryan and the response was rapid and excellent. The buffet breakfast was very good, made with quality produce and constantly replenished with freshly cooked bacon etc. We would be very happy to stay there again. We were at Coombe Lodge for a wedding. Garden House was full with wedding guests like ourselves. Bearing in mind that The Garden House does not have a kitchen the breakfast is very good and varied. The rooms are modern and well appointed. Decoration in rooms and corridors reception etc is up together. Nice large bathroom. Good parking facilities. Even if the B & B car park is full (Its right next to the building) Coombe Lodge has a large Carpark which is about 2 mins walk away. Usual Hairdryer, Tea and ~Coffee facilities in room but I also noticed a communal Iron and Ironing board. If there is a wedding and they have music you can hear it in the distance but it stops at midnight. Not an issue if you are at the wedding but if you are on holiday you might experience some momentary disruption to your sleep as wedding guests return to the B&B. Bear in mind they don't necessarily have weddings every day of the week. Overall I think it has everything I would expect for a quality B&B and I heard no complaints or moans from fellow guests at breakfast.

We stayed over when attending a wedding at Coombe Lodge. The room was ready on arrival at midday. It was a very clean and modern room! There were also Bramley products in the bathroom which was a bonus! It took about 2 minutes to walk to the venue too which was very handy! Would definitely recommend for the location and price!
