Our stay at Hotell Drottninggatan 11/DG 11 had its ups and downs. On the positive side, the hotel was fresh and newly renovated, with a cozy and familial atmosphere. The check-in instructions were clear and helpful, especially since we arrived after the reception had closed. However, there were several drawbacks. We stayed over the weekend, and no one came to clean our room. When we inquired at the reception, we were told that it was mentioned in the booking confirmation that weekend cleaning services were available only upon request. This detail was easy to miss as most people do not thoroughly read their booking confirmations. Similarly, the information about needing to request the remote control for the room's air conditioning was buried in the booking confirmation. As a result, we spent the evening in a warm room while the staff smoked just outside our window. The breakfast experience was mixed. While some items, such as the bread and cold cuts, were very fresh, others, like the fresh fruit, were disappointing and seemed to have been sitting out for a while or leftover from the previous day. Additionally, some dishes, like a certain type of porridge or spread, lacked any labeling, making it unclear what they were. The croissants were not warmed and lacked the crispiness we expected, being cold and flavorless instead. The breakfast area also felt a bit unclean, and some of the plates we took were not perfectly clean. Overall, the hotel did not feel worth the price we paid.
