Lanhydrock Hotel & Golf Club

A short stay at the Lanhydrock hotel & golf club. The room 43 was to a good standard well maintained with a large comfortable clean bed with a bath and good size shower with great views over the golf course. The food had a good selection well priced it was well presented and very tasty. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast has a good selection of local ingredients. Substantial Cornish Breakfast. We would definitely recommend to anyone staying in and around this area.

This is a great golf course. The hotel is excellent, comfortable clean and modern. the staff are friendly and most helpful but Hey, the vegetarian options are dismal. One pizza and a single boring pasta dish. Get real, five into the 21st century and review your menu.

Very good overnight stay, room was comfortable and clean, food was excellent and a very good breakfast with plenty of choice. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. My only criticism is that the room was very warm and there was no air con, slept with the windows open all night, luckily we were in a first floor room.

This was our second visit in less than 12 months. We had stayed midweek back in September and were so impressed we booked for a week this July, from which we have just returned. Throughout our stay the service we received from reception, the restaurant and bar staff (Jane deserves a special mention), the cleaning ladies and the staff in the pro shop (we didn’t visit for the golf incidentally) was of the highest order. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, nothing being too much trouble. The breakfast menu was excellent, the bar prices very reasonable and the evening meals (generous portions to say the least) were good value. The room overlooking the golf course was of an excellent standard, although in staying for a week we would have liked more drawer space (very minor point). We would certainly recommend the hotel to anybody visiting the area and would emphasise that you don’t have to be a golfer. We hope to return in the not too distant future. All told a 10/10 experience all round.

Our 2nd stay. Lovely short break. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Jane, Lisa, Wendy and Claire. .The fizz and chips is a very good offer. We certainly will stay again. Beautiful view. Looks a great golf course. Well used. we enjoyed our meals. recommended.

We have just had our wedding at Lanhydrock hotel, we are only a short distance away, words can not express how much they have done to make our day so special, we booked last yr, and had emails and meetings throughout that yr,when i arrived on the friday i was in a normal twin room, then moved over to the honeymoon room, its stunning, the staff were fantastic throughout the day, checking in on us when we were getting ready, after the wedding we were moved downstairs so the room could be changed for the meal,while we were off having photos guest just sat chatting inside and out, once the meal started the staff were on hand to help, as the whole wedding was in one room they had made a very quick change over, on the day we were looked after by Andrew who couldnt have done more, he took us down to the pond for photos, Claire was on hand to make sure everyone was where they should be, we stayed for two nights and every member of staff we bumped into was amazing, i can not thank them enough,it was only a small wedding with 46 guests then around 60 in the evening everyone said how lovely it was, we are so pleased we picked it for our wedding.
