The Anniversary Inn - Boise

Huge disappointment in the Boise location. The amenities that used to be offered no longer are. The breakfast has no choices. We were told that it would be eggs Florentino, muffin and fruit with 2 drink choices. The egg dish was completely disgusting. Very runny and nasty tasting as well as cold. The coffee was cold, the fruit was mushy, the muffins were actually chocolate chip cookies. Okay, who serves cookies for breakfast? My daughter's stayed about 3 weeks after we did. Their problems with breakfast was the same except they got bran muffins that were rock hard. ( 3 rooms, 2 separate dates) and the breakfast had not improved. We stayed in Oceanside. The bed was sunk in the middle. Very uncomfortable, the bathtub shower was difficult to turn on and off so during the bath cold water was coming down on us. The tables were dirty, the bathtub caulking is loose and the we needed to clean the tub before use. I rented and paid for both the sleeping beauty castles for my daughter's. Each daughter had issues. Each room had beds that were sunk in the middle. One room was very hot upstairs and the ac wasn't working properly so they turned on the fan but it was squeaky and wobbly so it scared them and they shut it off. My daughter fell because their are no rugs in front of the tub or for use on the drawbridge. The other daughter in her sleeping beauty room, had the breakfast and bed issues but also had sediment coming out of the shower in the tub. So much so that she had to keep washing it down the drain. Then finally gave up on taking a shower. Each daughter also experienced the breakfast delivered over an hour late. We spent alot of money for 3 rooms and we being disappointed is one thing but to give rooms as a present to your loved ones and them being so disappointed is not right. Major upgrades need to happen. You are charging 180 to 320 per night. This should be luxury accommodations. I can get a spa room with full choice breakfast at other hotels for the same rates and they are cleaner, better beds and separate showers in great shape. We have stayed in the past but unfortunately until updates are done and rooms are cleaned better we probably will not be back.

I cancelled a reservation well in advance of the deadline for deposit refund. It has been thirteen emails and multiple phone calls. In most cases, emails and calls were never responded to. In the phone calls or emails where I was able to get a response, the property manager agreed that the deposit should have been refunded and promised to get it taken care of. NOTHING. It has now been five months and still no resolution.

The old military discount was excellent (more than I deserve if I’m being honest) but we had come to expect that pricing from here, the only indication that their pricing had changed was a little paper in the top corner of the glass at the front desk. A better heads up would’ve been appreciated. (Maybe a email) The anniversary inn is an amazing place, and was well worth the money. I understand that prices have increased everywhere due to inflation, but I’m disappointed I won’t be able to afford to return.
