Hotel la Caravelle

Despite being a three star hotel, the facilities in our room were poor though there was a lovely view over the harbour and parking was good once we found it (after we'd wasted half an hour driving round looking for it so instructions could have been clearer). But I was very suspicious about the earplugs in our bedroom and realised on coming back to our hotel after dinner what they were for. We had to almost literally fight our way through security to get access to our hotel, there was a deafening disco with a DJ and our bedroom was right on top of it, overlooking people's heads. It went on until 2am which ruled out any sleep - I did a decibel reading and it was up to 75 decibels in our room so no way could we sleep. After that, we were treated to residents in the hotel who were obviously the worse for wear banging and crashing and shouting around the hotel. Thank goodness we only stayed for one night. We were all shattered the next day and really not amused - I feel we should be given a refund. There is no way they should allow a disco right by the hotel when there are lots of tourists with children present, absolutely dreadful.

Touring Corsica with friends we made a one night stop in this 3 star rated Hotel. I would like to start with the positive opinion, I am speaking from a professional viewpoint having been in construction for over 60 years and now in a supervisory position. Positive. Wonderfully situated with magnificent views over this very unique harbour. Parking is fantastic being almost level from the reception. Greeting was warm & very efficient, my room was NINA, very nicely appointed generally, clean & well presented. Negative. Although well presented evidence of being somewhat tired & not up to modern standards, the room lacked USB charging points and the biggest concern here was that the smoke alarm was sealed over with a plastic bag. photo. The side table that one would expect to house a refrigerator beibg 3 star, was empty exposing unfinished wood work. Photo Skirting board non matching & crudely attached, very DIY. Photo Bathroom clean but fixtures & fittings looked like salvage from a scrap yard. Photos. The W/C toilet pan was cracked from bottom to top although not leaking. Photo The downlight from above the mirror was fitted with different shape & type of exposed bulbs again look like second hand surplus. Photo Shower was stand up in bath with no screen or curtain & shower head could not be fixed & adjusted, this & the mixer taps, in my business these would have been thrown out long before the chrome had disappeared. Photo The door lock furniture was ancient & only had one fixing screw. Photo The extractor fan was in operative & shoud be coupled to the light switch. Photo Now comes the mystery as to why there were earplugs in the bathroom; we debated this over our meal however when returning to our respective rooms having to fight through street security as an horrendous disco had started in the adjoining building but one.. OH MY DEAR GOD...! This noise continued until 0200 in the morning followed by shouting & screaming & crashing of probably residents. The ear plugs presence became clear for what good they were... I may have gotten 3 hours sleep. To sum up... had this been made transparent when booking I certainly would not have stayed here. 3 star...? no way given my review, maybe 1 star being kind. I realise things have been tough for the hospitality industry but transparent standards are essential.

Les seuls points positifs sont la gentillesse du personnel et le parking sécurisé. Tout le reste est un zéro pointé. Les chambres sont vieillottes, avec des odeurs de moisissures, de l'humidité, des finitions indignes...., Le bar musical attenant vous distille une"musique" insupportable jusqu'à 1h00 du matin. Aucune insonorisation, des bruits de couloir permanent, Bref, un hôtel où l'on ne peut pas dormir!!.. et le tout pour un prix prohibitif. À fuir

L’hôtel est très bien situé, sur le port, proche de nombreux restaurants, commerces, etc Le parking à disposition est un avantage de taille ! L’accueil est chaleureux et agréable. En revanche, les chambres sont relativement petites et très humides. De plus, le bar situé en dessous ferme ses portes uniquement vers 1h/1h30 du matin, il est donc compliqué de dormir avant cet horaire. Le rapport qualité prix n’est pas la..

hotel trouvé dans bonifacio à la dernière minute. gros avantage parking privé. personnel hyper agréable les chambres sont spacieuses et la literie excellente. hotel situé au bord du port. un peu bruyant la nuit à cause des restaurants à proximité mais les bouchons d'oreilles sont disponibles dans les chambres donc très bien dormi

L’hôtel est très bien, particulièrement bien situé surtout si vous voulez sortir ! Situé sur le port, l’hôtel a des chambres agréables, bien équipées et propres. Bon rapport qualité prix pour un mois d’août. Gros + : Il y a un parking, très utile pour Bonifacio !
