Maison du Lierre Bordeaux Centre Ville

This hotel was just not worth the price. It not only was far from many places in Bordeaux, but it was also in a weird & hard-to-get-to part of town. The feeling the owners of the hotel wanted you to have was of a place much nicer than this. The rooms were so-so and the breakfast area was very strange and not inviting. There were random books lying around at each place & i guess we were supposed to read them ( ?). I love books but I found the display a bit off-putting- as well as the breakfast itself.

BEWARE OF FRAUD - I reserved at this hotel for one night in September, my plans then changed and I cancelled the reservation in advance at no cost. The hotel had my credit card details and subsequently debited my account. Three months later I am still unable to contact the manager to get my payment refunded.

On arrival at the hotel we informed the superior room we had booked was not available . we were given room number 1 . A room which required you to have the lights on at all time as there was only a small window and this looked out on to the guest courtyard and with the curtains open anybody in the courtyard could see in . we thought breakfast was included however it was not . we were charged 24 euros for a tea / coffee and ham and a slice of cheese and another guests left over bread roll . Eloise on reception was charming and helpful . We liked Bordeaux and considered staying another night and asked for a discount on the room for the extra night ( as we were not staying in a superior room ) the manager who we did not speak was totally inflexible and appeared from the staffs perspective to be a difficult person , I emailed him on my return he didnt read the email properly or acknowledged we had been given the wrong room in fact he was very unpleasant and indicated he thought i was telling a lie .and threatening him .

As per previous review. The management here store your credit details (against GDPR) then re use to double charge after you have left. The management were made aware of our cancellation and proof of cancellation (from ***********) but still went ahead and charged me for 2 rooms when only ONE was booked.

Piccolo hotel romantico, ideale per visitare Bordeaux. Ottima posizione vicino al centro ma in zona tranquilla e silenziosa. Molto carino e curato l’arredamento sia delle camere che delle parti comuni. La mia camera era un po' piccola ma molto graziosa e pulitissima. Il personale è stato gentile e disponibile. Siamo arrivati tardi la sera ma non abbiamo avuto alcun problema, ci erano state fornite in anticipo tutte le indicazioni necessarie. Consigliato.

Hemos estado muy a gusto , es tranquilo y muy familiar. Está bien situado , el desayuno se be que es de calidad , las mermeladas buenísimas . La habitación es grande y espaciosa y la cama duermes como si estuvieras en tu casa , nada que decir el trato del personal del hotel de 5 estrellas. Siempre están pendientes a la hora del desayuno que no falte de nada , en definitiva te sientes como en tu propia casa cien por cien recomendable ahh y puedes ir a la playa a pie sin necesidad de coger el coche.
