Premier Inn London Elstree / Borehamwood

I enjoyed my stay. Very comfortable bed. Staff very accommodating!

Great experience

While I gave the Premier Inn a five star rating, it is not a five star hotel, but my experience with this hotel was five star. We stayed at the Premier Inn while attending a show at Elstree Studios, which were a 7 minute walk away. In addition to being spotless, the room was well configured and appointed and about as good as you could expect in a three/four star hotel (actually better). The room was larger than you normally get in this quite reasonable price range. We went to the bar before going to the show and decided to have a snack there which was quite good (veggie pizza for me and nachos for my wife), accompanied by happy hour prices on drinks. The bar tenders were very nice and attentive, giving my wife some advice on what to visit on our way back to London with a stop planned for Hemstead. Overall, a very positive experience. Great value for the money.

Staff were very helpful and attentive. Unfortunately the staff are overstretched due to the corporate decision to have as few staff in attendance as possible. Food shortages in kitchen also made our 4 night stay challenging. Huge thanks to Blaise, Bonty and Jana for all your help and smiling faces.

Me ang my 2 kids (15yrs) stayed here for 1 night as we were going to winter wonderland with friends who live in Borehamwood. I thought it would be easier to park at the friends place for the day, use public transport to london, then drive to the hotel (15 mins away) when we returned from the park. The access to London via train and underground was easy , fast and cheap, I think it took just over an hour. I had pre booked and paid for the hotel but didn’t arrive until we returned at around 11-11.30pm, I did call ahead and tell them we were going to be late and they assured me it was fine and there was plenty of parking. When we arrived we were met at reception by a young lady and a young man who were chatty and helpful. We had booked a family room, which was clean and ideal, we had no issues at all. The following morning, we had breakfast, I wouldn’t normally bother but the deal online was you get 2 kids free with 1 paying adult so it was a bargain really. The food was being refilled when we got there 9am Ish and was just what you would expect, bacon, egg, sausage etc, juices, coffee and tea. We all ate and enjoyed. The staff in the dining area were happy and helpful, they sat us at our table and told us where everything was and left us to help ourselves. We had no issues at all for our night here, the staff were friendly, rooms were clean and breakfast was ideal. Next time we visit i would book here again without doubt

Rooms to be very much as expected for a Premier Inn, clean and tidy. Check in was automated and simple but perhaps reflected the lack of staff at the hotel. Travelling on business I wanted a simple evening meal but a lot of the menu was unavailable. The bar is ridiculously overpriced for non alcoholic drinks so i ended up finding somewhere local to eat. Breakfast was very basic and overpriced, and the coffee undrinkable. The worst part of the stay was the parking which was advertised at £8 per night for residents of the hotel but I was charged £20 by the automated ticket machine. I will never return to this hotel and recommend anyone reading this review looks to alternative local options. This review avoids 1 star because the rooms were to the usual Premier Inn standard.
