What a nice little family getaway! They had a fire pit and bbq right on the water. Kayaking and fishing steps away from you door. They have big beds and nice tv, and we were able to pitch a tent outside our cabin. Loved it and we will be back! Happy 4th!!

Herring Run Motel is a clean, safe and spacious place to stay while giving easy access to Cape destinations. There are both cabins and motel rooms with a short walk to a pond. Bedding and bathroom were very clean and tidy. It was a reasonable price for the accmodation and accessibility. Will definitely stay here again.

The cabin was clean but otherwise run down. Bed was very uncomfortable. The TV was not working. Overall a dump! It was like staying in a shack.The grounds were completely unkept. Weeds were growing everywhere. The cabin had a musty odor. It smelled like mold.

Herring Run is a treasure hidden within a sunny green canopy of tall trees & warbling songbirds. Its simple but comfy rooms look out onto enclosed bubbling waterways (which make for a soothing nite’s sleep!). These are well-stocked with & facilitate the spawning & migration of thousands of herring to & from the Cape Cod Canal. Staff is friendly, informative & helpful, but the herrings’ Caretaker is the real star … a Great Blue Heron that painstakingly tends, trims (and tastes!) its stock. Nearby Route 6 gems - sizzling purveyors of fried clams & steamed lobsters - as well as biking, fishing & kayaking are all within reach.

I recently stayed at herrings run to meet up with some family for the weekend. The owners were friendly and courteous and my room was clean. All in all a fun little get away and I didn't have to spend a lot!

we checked in 6/1/22, we were NOT supplied the door code to get in, another guest had to let us in because they had used that room the day before. the room stunk of smoke, the batroom was dirty, shower was no bigger then a high school locker, the front to DID NOT HAVE A DOOR KNOB so basically cold not close the door to go out, contacted the # listed at the office and had a run around. had to find another place because of this would never recomend this place
