- Rooms look dark, dingy and dirty. - Amenities are awful. - Service is appalling. - The staff are extremely rude, possibly some of the rudest people I have met in my life. At least if I went to Karen's diner, I would be paying them to be rude to me. - The manager thinks he's entitled; - He does not care about his customers and he proved that when he put the phone down on me in the middle of me speaking after having shouted over me. - When I called back, he told me I had 1 minute to talk before he would hang up. I explained to him that myself and a few friends had booked to stay here on New Year's Eve. However my friend had been rushed to A&E at 11:30pm / 11:45pm on 29th December. I asked him if he could request a refund be paid to me, as I had missed the free cancellation (needed to be requested by 29th December 11:59pm), due to unforeseen circumstances and confirmed that *********** had said this should be ok and even sent a waiver. The manager refused to give me a refund. He rejected the waiver. Didn't show any sensitivity or understanding and instead said "I'm sorry, we can't give you a refund". Absolutely disgraceful. The manager should not be running the hotel, he needs to be fired and the hotel needs to be shut down, it's disgusting. Don't book this hotel unless you want a bad experience. I wouldn't even rate it 1 star if that was an option. However, if you do choose to stay here, good luck... you'll need it.
