Just had a fantastic stay here. We were celebrating our silver wedding anniversary and they made this so special for us. Amazing staff and great hotel. Room so comfortable and all we needed. Will be returning when we cane in the near future. Can't wait.

We spent four nights at the Bournemouth Sands this last week. Our room was spacious, and the bed was super comfy. Housekeeping was excellent, as were all the staff we encountered. The food was palatable and always hot. Our waiter Krystoff was an absolute star. The hotel should be very proud of him. The entertainment was good too. The situation of the hotel is ideal, no direct sea views, but the cliff top is only a short stroll away. We would have no hesitation in booking again.

The sands hotel bournemouth is in need of a refurbishment. Our room 110, the main light and bathroom light didn't work. Cracks in the ceiling, mould in the bathroom, the seat on the toilet moved when sat on it. Couldn't get the radiator to work ,so our room was cold, I have raynauds which effects my hands and feet , so I was in pain . Maintenance knew about our light but didn't do anything about it . We informed the chambermaid about the heating situation and she told the Maintenance man . I have asthma, so I was concerned about the mould in the bathroom. The restaurant is very claustrophobic noisy and has a certain odour, especially with 150 people being served at the same time. The lift is totally inadequate for the amount of people using it, mostly disabled people. Most of the food is adequate ,it depends on what you have order, it's a bit hit and miss .

Terrible place. It's old and needs updating. Our room on the 2nd floor had rainwater penetrating from out side. Could not change rooms so slept in a damp room with bucket collecting the water. An old problem as damp on ceiling plus evidence of previous repairs. The bathroom was a joke. Water had a green tint so had to buy bottled water. Hardly any room to use the wc as the toilet roll holder was massive and in the way. Had to go in at an angle to use it. Curtains too short, drafty windows. Avoid room 208 at all cost. Food was very basic and not pleasant. Portions small and obviously on an economy drive. only 2 pieces of toast not the usual 3. Soup bowl only 1/3rd full etc. Would not use this hotel or Daishs who we went with. Our 2nd very bad expreince.

Great hotel with good sized rooms and a good selection of food in the restaurant. Although service could be a bit slow at times due to staff shortages. Sadly Bournemouth its self was very disappointing but Poole a short bus ride away was a bustling alive town to spend a day exploring.

Good hotel, food was nice and the staff very friendly. the room was a bit outdated but was ok, the only thing that let it down was the entertainment I find it very poor. It's hilly and the buses run every hour but peak season they are every half an hour.

This hotel has improved greatly since our last visit. All staff very friendly, room clean and warm, as was the rest of the hotel. Good choice at meal times and all very tasty. Although preferred the previous entertainment (personal choice)

clean friendly warm hotel. excellent value for money. food is good, although our waitress was away with the fairies most of the time, but gave us all a good laugh. reception and all staff very friendly and would help you any way they could. single room very hot and spacious also large bathroom with shower over bath, plenty of hot water at all times. will definitley stay again. only drawback is the hills in bournemouth.

We have been going to The Sands for several years and have really enjoyed our visits. The staff were friendly and helpful. Entertainment was available each evening. Excellent value for money. The hotel is but a short walk into town and bus services.
