Kensington Hotel

I stayed for 12 nights and was thoroughly satisfied with my stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful and made me feel very welcome. My room had everything I needed for my stay and the hotel was quiet at night and had great sleep throughout my stay. I recommend highly.

Absolutely DISGUSTING bad service with excuses and Waffel - room MOULDY causing excessive coughing and breathing difficulties after only a few hours. RASHES FROM BEDDING caused by bed bugs and failing hygiene standards. Shower (mould and general green/yellow slime) resembled a discarded used frying pan. Booked for 7 nights and left after only a few hours - no refund or apology but they did offer a different room for an extra £350!! Forced to sleep in our car!!!!! -WORST HOTEL IN BOURNEMOUTH

The CAT was sleeping on my bed and they said it’s fine, it’s their neighbours cat and nothing they can do. I have asthma and allergy for cats. The room itself is so TINY you can’t move. Water is COLD, everything is very OLD and DIRTY. We asked to change the room but they didn’t. We just left, they promised to do refund but never did. The person in charge doesn’t even speak English. I’ve never seen the hotel and the service like this in my life.

Awful! Room was very dirty, stains all over the sheets. Gave us a single room not a twin. We didn’t stay the 2nd night and when we complained they claimed we didn’t check in. Not the best service. Beds weren’t comfy at all. Rough area, they charged us an extra £30 for nothing and won’t reply to emails now.

We arrived in Bournemouth, somewhere we had never been before to find our hotel wanted our payment in cash. So we had to walk around a place we did not know to locate a cash machine. The first two were not working. And when we finally found one it was charging £1.99 for the pleasure of taking out our money! The room was nice enough but the bed clothes were stained. The shower was dodgy and difficult to operate. The shower base had no anti-slip mat in place, both myself and my partner nearly slipped over many times so it was dangerous. The tea and coffee facilities consisted of tiny team cups (not mugs) and there was no glass for cold drinks. We had to ask for more UHT milk as we did not have much given. Then we had to contend with a noisy neighbour who liked to watch his television full-volume at 04:00am!!! Disappointing stay to be honest and will not be booking again. Bournemouth was nice but very expensive and if we did not have national trust and English heritage memberships, we would not have been able to go out for days either.

Absolutely filthy. I highly doubt it was cleaned before we arrived. Slow service to check in. The man just wants to talk about himself. Stunk of smoke, also we were flashed by a dirty man when arriving back at 10pm. Guest assigned to stay from social services apparently. Shower door broken. Mould growing was not pleasant. Only good thing was location!
