Elveseter Hotell

We had an unrenovated room. The beds were comfortable and clean. The room had basic furnishings and a balcony. We enjoyed the family style evening meal and the breakfast had a variety of options. We also liked sitting in the common areas of the main building in the evening - lots of interesting antiques and interesting furniture. The setting was really beautiful and the proximity to the national park was wonderful.

A stop in Elveseter hotell for one night, a place that for a while I wanted to stay over. Its an old farm converted into a hotel that still maintains its rural lodge charm. A place to disconnect from the routine and embrace the calmness and beauty of of thus Norwegian gem, The three dish dinner was very good and relaxing in the many cosy social areas in the main building/ lobby a great way to end the evening. Try the local beer from Lom. This place is magical for those who seek Norwegian rustic charm. The staff were great people that offer great service too!

We had a wonderful 3 nights here! This place felt to us a bit like a Norwegian version of an American national parks lodge. The main building was full of interesting things to see, from artwork to furniture to cozy little nooks to relax in. The breakfast was truly an amazing spread - we were full until dinner everyday! - and the dining room was a beautiful place to begin the day. We booked a basic room and it was immaculately clean, simply furnished and very comfortable. We liked the fact that it had a balcony and a lovely view of the surrounding mountains. We had some questions about hiking logistics and weather and the owner and staff were extremely helpful to us - and always very friendly and welcoming. This is a great place to base if you are visiting Jutenheimen national park.

A quaint and delightful place to stay and enjoy the awesome beauty of Norway. We love the uniqueness of the buildings and its tranquil setting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I think in general Norwegians are friendly and and go out of their way to be helpful.

Le cadre est sympa, la décoration atypique qui dénote des autres hôtels et ca donne son charme à cet établissement. Les chambres sont spartiates sans équipement (pas de bouilloire, de sèche cheveux, ...). La litterie est bonne mais le lit double pour couple est un peu étroit. Quand au ptit dej, correct sans plus. En fait ca ressemble à un gite de haute montagne.

Dommage qu'il n'existe pas de catégorie bien, moyen est un peu sévère, mais ne mérite pas très bien. Situé au milieu de nulle part, sur la route transnorvégienne, on est surpris dçs l'entrée par la décoration. Portail en bois, structure en bois, très sophistiquée, nombreux recoins avec plein de photos, tableaux, muebles, objets de la vie courante ancienne, une cheminée avec feu de bois.... une immense colonne de 30 mètres en pierre apportée là on ne sait comment raconte l'histoire de la Norvège. Un côté un peu mégalo du propriétaire, mais même si vous ne restez pas, cela vaut la visite. Couloirs nombreux et compliqué, on s'y perd, avec une décoration superbe. Des salons où il fait bon rester. La chambre que l'on m'avait attribuée était très petite, et surtout impossible de pénétrer dans la salle de bains pour une personne un peu forte. Pas de problème pour changer de chambre par contre. Pas d'ascenseur, mais peu d'étages. Le repas servi est moyen, par contre le petit déjeuner, très affairé, est copieux, varié, et très bon. Amateurs de l'originalité, c'est votre endroit de prédilection. Amateurs de la modernité et du confort, passez votre chemin. Mais en tous cas, un hôtel pas comme les autres
