Drury Inn & Suites Bowling Green

We have had some great experiences at Drury in the especially with newer locations in the SW. This stay was however, not like that. Drury seems to have moved towards families w promoting junk food snacks, popcorn “happy hour” as well as breakfast. We skipped both meals because of the low quality junk food as well as the pool, because of the crowds. The main problem w this location is it’s very old, dated and the carpeting is filthy making the whole place look and smell bad. We paid $200 for overnight with no perks and a really pathetic amenities. Wish hotels would focus on premium channels, decor and comfort and get out of the buffet business.

The hotel and room was immaculate and the staff were so nice and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the HVAC worked well. We felt right at home. The meals included in the price were good. Only one caution that is beyond their control: it sits beside one of the busiest roads in BG and our rooms were in the front of the hotel so we heard a lot of traffic noise. If that bothers you, probably want to ask for a room towards the back of hotel.

Very disappointing stay. Room was ok sized, but very small compared to recent stays at a Fairfield Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Bathroom was EXTREMELY small - barely enough room to turn around in. The food at the evening "kickback" and at the breakfast was sub-standard at best. Drury Inns are known for having free popcorn in the lobby, but at this one the only way to get it was to ask the front desk to make some; it soon ran out and was not replenished unless a guest asked. We have stayed at Drury Inns before, but over the years it seems the quality of the properties has suffered. This was probably our last stay at a Drury

This is a nice, clean hotel right off I-65 and Hwy 231. It was quiet given it's location and easy to get to going north on 231. If you're coming back from within BG and need to make the left turn, it's a little tougher. The kickback options at night are nice if you don't want to spend the extra money for a meal and just need a little bit to eat. Nice mix of hot and cold food for breakfast and I like that soda fountain is available then too because I'm not a coffee drinker. It's a little tight in the breakfast area at times and narrows down getting to food from area that has tables and chairs so gets congested. This area is also near the main check-in desk and path to elevators which can add to the chaos. We had a room in area above the open lobby which I was first concerned would be noisy. It didn't end up being at all but we were on the top (5th floor). I'm not sure if the 2nd floor just above that area would be nosier though. There are only about 6 rooms on each floor that are above this open lobby so if you reserve ahead, you could probably specify not to have one if you didn't want.

Great staff ! Good food and friendly service. Excellent location near interstate. Walking distance of 3 restaurants. This staff went out of it's way to keep us informed and satisfied with every aspect of our stay. Convenient parking, plenty of luggage carts .

Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Loved our stay. Loved everything that they offered. No complaints. We will definitely stay at this hotel again. **********************************************************************

The nice hotel and convenient for our needs. Great value considering it included a full breakfast and some dinner options with drink specials. Negative: terrible mattress, too much movement and room was too close to the lobby (noise level).

If you have a spouse with different sleep habits, definitely try the Drury 2-room suite. We found it very useful for our deep sleeper/insomniac combination. Plus you’ll find fantastic beds and great pillows, fast wifi, plenty of USB ports. The free breakfast and smiling staff were both lovely. Rooms were very clean and AC was easy to adjust. Perfect!

This was an emergency trip. I had never stayed at this hotel before but I must say that they exceeded any expectations. The staff were so very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner staff went above and beyond being informative. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I didn’t get to use any other amenities, but will definitely try them next trip. I highly recommend the Drury and I will staying with them again.
