LOVE this place. Went for the 4 day Islay tour and couldn't say enough amazing things about this hotel. The view was remarkable, the room was spacious, comfortable and very clean, breakfast was delicious, the mini bar was stocked (even with plenty of affordable scotch!), and hosts were welcoming and funny. Do not hesitate to book here!

We stayed at Bowmore House for 3 nights as part of the Scottish Routes Islay whiskey tour. The room was lovely and very comfortable with incredible views across the loch. The breakfast was really good, very informal, very comfortable. The hosts were lovely, very friendly and more than willing to help with any requests; they even invited us to a breakfast dram in the mornings! A really enjoyable stop, highly recommended

We stayed at Bowmore House as part of an Islay Whisky tour (Scottish Routes). We enjoyed our stay immensely and would not consider staying elsewhere when we get back to Islay. Our accommodations at the Bowmore House were spacious and excellently comfortable. Our hosts, Andrew and Allison, were delightful and ready to assist with everything from whisky recommendations (Andrew blends his own, do not skip it), to emergency shoe repair, to discussions about the history of Islay. The breakfast part of the bed and breakfast matched or exceed the excellence of the bed and amply fueled us for the day's activities.

This is my third stay at Bowmore House, my first being ten years ago. The room was excellent and comfortable, with a superb bathroom and a powerful shower. The cleanliness and order were impeccable. I highly recommend the full Scottish breakfast, which includes tattie scones and haggis. Andrew, the proprietor, provided a complimentary dram to each guest.

We stayed at The Bowmore House as part of our Scottish Routes four day Islay whiskey tour. Andrew and Allison were the perfect hosts. Their warm Scottish hospitality and wonderful accommodations helped to make our vacation very memorable. Thank you Andrew and Allison.

Andrew and Alison are amazing!! Breakfast every morning is fantastic, and Andrew is great at helping you plan your day based on the weather, your bookings (book your tours in advance!) and your transportation options. Super quiet and you can walk into town easily! Go stay with them!

3 nights in Bowmore
What a beautiful guesthouse! The hosts were very friendly and were of great assistance to me in arranging transportation while I was in the area doing some distillery tours. The breakfasts were excellent and the accommodations were very spacious and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed there with Family the beginning of October. They gave us the Suite, which helped us entertain our father. Andrew and Alison were wonderful hosts. A daily dram of Bowmore, certainly helped. Breakfast was fantastic, a full spread severed family style. We shared the B&B with another family that was traveling with us on the Scottish Routes tour. While our families didn't know each other, the atmosphere Andrew and Alison presented ensured we got along perfectly. They also have some very good deals on various bottles of Whisky, if that's your pleasure.

We stayed at Bowmore House for three nights in 02 Sep ‘24 on a Scottish Routes Whisky tour. The facilities were well appointed and very clean, the welcome and attentiveness of mine hosts Andrew and his lovely wife was outstanding and his useful tips appreciated. The location is walking distance to most places in the town be sure to however to make advance reservations for dinner in the town. Breakfast in the common room was outstanding and a great way to start the day.
