Logis Hôtel du Cygne

What a fabulous find this hotel was. We stayed overnight to break the journey up to Rotterdam. The hotel is situated in a small town which has restaurants, shops and amenities, all within a very short walking distance. It is also very close by to Chambord Château (about 9km) From the moment we arrived we were greeted in such a welcoming and friendly manner by the lovely owners, who quite honestly couldn’t do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We were staying in two rooms that were situated in the courtyard, very close to the main hotel building. The rooms were immaculately clean and presented in a really appealing way. I was particularly impressed at the facilities. Hairdryers and soap and shower gel were provided and the rooms also had a tv (should it be required) and excellent Wi-Fi coverage. The bed was also very comfortable. A small welcome pack was provided which was also a really nice touch. There are outside table and chairs to sit and enjoy the afternoon/evening sunshine and also a living room with a small kitchen area inside the main building of the hotel to make tea and coffees. The decor of this part of the hotel was quirky which I also liked. The owner is more than happy to recommend restaurants for an evening meal. He took the time in offering us a choice of restaurants and then kindly rang them for their availability and to book a table. He actually recommended a wonderful hotel within 3kms of the hotel and it exceeded all our expectations. The hotel has plenty of free parking within the hotel grounds and in the summer has a large swimming pool for the guests use. We paid extra for breakfast and were pleased we did. It is served in one of the buildings in the courtyard. There is a good selection of food available, it is a continental breakfast with different breads, cereals, yoghurts, fruits and nuts, eggs- among other things. Some of the produce is also available to buy at reception (jams, pâté etc) We had such an enjoyable stay. Thank you

Well designed and perfectly executed hotel. Everything you need is present. Everything you don’t need is absent. Very helpfull staff. Absolutely clean. Nice swimming pool. The hotel scores highly in the reviews and is worth every point. Several restaurants.on walking distance and relatively close to the Loire castles.

Super welcoming staff, great location. Famous castles are 20 mins by bicycle away, there are some good restaurants across the street, you have a number of good value fir money vineyards with also very welcoming staff in 15 mins by car.

This place is very cozy and has a swimming pool. Location of the hotel is in the center of the village. 15 min from away from both chateaux. Owner speaks 3 languages, stuff speak English as well and very friendly. Room has a terrace. Breakfast like at home.

Cet endroit est parfait pour les personnes qui apprécient la convivialité et le calme. Situé dans un petit village (très bien placé pour visiter les châteaux de la Loire), cet hôtel est cosy, l’accueil y est plus que chaleureux, les chambres sont très belles. Nous l’avons connu avant sa rénovation et il était déjà tout aussi bien. Le personnel est réellement accueillant et c’est un plaisir d’interagir avec eux durant le séjour. Le petit déjeuner est le meilleur que nous connaissions et la petite salle commune est un formidable atout. Les chambres sont propres et décorées avec goût. Nous y revenons chaque année car nous sommes sous le charme de cet hôtel d’exception.
