Hotel Walliserhof

This was our third visit to Walliserhof. There is a reason for comming back! I would first like to adress the fact that i read some less positive reviews at tripadvisor. I think this is the result of the fact that the hotel is split in several types of price levels and also buildings. If you book a room in the lower price range the rooms are somewhat old and hopefully management will invest to make them a correspont better to current expectations of guests in the more budget ranger. However, if you book a room in the main building where the restaurant is or the suites building you will be treated to beautifull rooms with comfortable beds. I feel that where ever you book your room you will be treated to a great breakfast with local products and dinners that are focussed on giving you healthy foods in an atmosphere in which you feel at home, part of the "family" the owners are almost always to be found in the breakfast area and are very approachable (although we did not talk to them this stay) we really like the fact that on your dinner menu there is information on activities that are being organized the next day by the hotel, which vary from horse riding activities to cocktail or coffee workshops in which guests can take part. The wellnes area is also accesable to all guests and is also a valuable asset to the hotel, the great pool and sauna s, inside the building and also on the slope overlooking the river are a great place to relax. Our room ist very small, not comfortable and absolutely tasteless. A room shower is extremely old. But employees are all very nice and friendly. Very nice attitude to dogs. Hotel and room level is on a 3 star level, if to be nice and optimistic . We were very disappointed, when we saw our ‘vacation’ room, which is really tiny. We have expected much better level of four star hotel in Austria. The ‘vintage’ look is just old and tasteless here

Welcome to walliserhof quality of life, love in nature in a more realistic view, but more nature with this fungus that I saw than love. Hopefully the owners wake will wake up and realise what is happening around them and get out from the bubble the created in the mind.
