Premier Inn Burton On Trent Central

The bed was comfortable. That is all I can say nice about the experience. The key cards were rubbish. They didn't always work. They were so sensitive that iff they were not in to the correct millimetre, the doors wouldn't open. The heating was on all night. I tried every hour to regulate it . It still bounced back up to very hot. At 7.30 in the morning, myself and others went to reception. There was none there. The buzzer was not in an obvious place. I went vack to the room and called the hotel. The receptionist answered and resolved the issue. However when I came off the phone, the heating at returned to high and nothing could be done to resolve it. Others mentioned it too . They all left the hotel early in the morning. The day receptionist was ignorant and unpleasant. She said when we were going " you won't have your money back ". I was stunned as this was not my intention. As I was leaving the building, she said " at least driving home, you can have the window open " We will never stay at a Premier Inn again . Even if we were offered a free night . Ibis or travel lodge is better.

Whilst the hotel is a pretty standard PI, the restaurant is awful. Grubby outside, sticky tables, wobbly chairs and food which is at best ordinary. Will I come back? No. I won't even bother going for the breakfast I've paid for, I've no need to sit somewhere which is cold and unwelcoming. PI, you are losing your way, you need to up your game.

Il start by saying, chef does the job, no issue with the food. However the “waiting staff” on the 14th, especially the one wearing the mckenzie hoodie, if you don’t want to be there you need to find another job. I stood inside the door for 5 minutes while 3 staff gossiped, I god bored and walked over to the till to oder food to be told because I was late it would be 40 min wait. So I ordered, sat down and 10 minutes later my burger turned up but extras didn’t. I finished the burger when the afore mentioned hoodie wearer was wandering the dining room asking who ordered what even though she took my order. After that was done I had to ask for the onion rings. There is one lady who is quite petite that is lovely and is usually bang on but tonight the staff were beyond a joke. If it wasn’t for the meal deal this place wouldn’t exist because of the lack luster staff.

Conveniently placed near many amenities. Easy to access, this comfortable hotel offers a great night sleep. This was second visit and did not disappoint.

Who advertises breakfast and dinner, takes your money and then when you get there find that the resturant is closed and has been for weeks yup Premier, they still advertise their resturants even though they are closed !!

Everything was perfect, especially the air-conditioning, the accessibility was amazing. Nico was lovely and helpful on check in. We were even left a large complimentary bar of chocolate 😍😍 it was super yummy Will definitely be back again

Dinner and breakfast booked in advance but arrived to find restaurant unavailable. Reception claimed it only closed the night before which is likely false based on many other recent reviews stating otherwise. A refund on the breakfast booking was promised but I am not optimistic as others have said these don't come through. Bottom line: If you stay at a PI never add food to your booking and don't expect the restaurant to be operational when you arrive. Despite this you'll find adverts for the restaurant in the lift. The room and bed were comfortable but that's about all PI have going for them these days. I found food from other establishments near by which was much better than the standard PI fare.

Shocking service, lack of customer care for duration of stay. Hotel unmanned half the time. Breakfast cancelled whilst asleep via a letter under the door. Spent more time going for a fag in car park. £210.00 a night, central London 4* with breakfast £290.00. Shocking. We will now as a business look for alternative for this area, shame as stayed most weeks/months with multiple staff for last seven years.

Wanted to pay for an early check-in as advertised, to get ready to attend a wedding, but no room was available. Had to get changed in the car! Needed a toilet after a long journey, but none available in reception - unbelievable!
