The Palm

Absolutely lovely place to stay… highly recommend! Beautiful rooms and decor, super chilled and allow dogs! The staff couldn’t do enough for us and the bar is really cool and lovely cocktails… a big screen great for watching sport too or the bar is big enough to avoid the screen if you don’t like sport! Just across from the beach the sea view room was lovely. We will definitely be back

Beautiful clean rooms. The bathroom was also really clean and nicely designed. But there was loud music from the pub below until 1 in the morning. Also there is no breakfast which makes me feel that the hotel is overpriced, especially the rooms that only look out on a grey wall. There was also no mirror in the room which made it very difficult to blow dry my hair. There was a door with a lock between the hotel and the pub but it was left open quite a few times.

Partner and I went for lunch and had a wonderful time. Staff is friendly and food is very good. One kind waitress wrote down their coffee selection for us because they didn’t have a menu. We were so grateful. The hot chocolate I had after the meal was delicious.

Exceptional hotel - stunning decor and it was spotlessly clean. The hotel is so close to lovely restaurants, pubs, a lovely wine bar and on top of that - has fabulous seafront views! Really would recommend to anyone. The staff were very very friendly and the hot tub was such a treeat

I spent the weekend in this wonderful hotel with my husband. When I made the reservation, I indicated that it would be a surprise for my husband for his wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, there were swans on the bed in the room and a greeting card. Glasses of champagne were also brought to the room. I am very grateful to the staff for this surprise.The view from the room was incredible, yes, it cost more, but we enjoyed the sea view while sitting in a personal hot barrel on the balcony. There is a restaurant on the ground floor. I recommend trying the salad with blue cheese and hake with vegetables (it was incredible!) On the weekend there is a DJ in the restaurant, so we danced until the morning and celebrated our anniversary to the fullest! I had a very good impression of my stay at the Palm Hotel.Many thanks to kind stuff. I recommend!

We have just stayed at the Palm Hotel for a weekend break following a business trip to the area. I have to say there was little choice available locally when we booked so I did wonder about some negative reviews we had read, I am extremely happy I ignored them. The reviews centred on the fact that the hotel is very lively at weekends with a late bar and music till the early hours, the staff made this very clear when we booked and again when we arrived, so I can't imagine others had not been informed of this fact too. For us knowing that the hotel was lively was a plus on these miserable autumnal weekends. Our room was stunning, large, beautifully decorated and very comfy, and yes earplugs provided for those that needed them. Great TV with selection of demand channels. The staff, from the receptionists and bar staff to the cleaners were friendly and helpful at every opportunity. The view from the room was not very inspiring but we too advantage of the hot tubs on the front balcony to relax in the day and look out over the seafront. The food was very good and service bang on. All in all it proved to be a surprisingly good weekend and that was largely down to the quality of the hotel accommodation and staff. Yes, if you are wanting a quiet evening relaxing in your room then this is not the place for you at weekends. On the other hand if you are wanting to let your hair down a bit and have some fun in a great hotel bar with live music and a cracking atmosphere then I would say you could do a lot worse than the Palm. We are not kids, far from it, but we had one of our best weekends for quite some time! We will put it on our places to go again given chance!
