Hotel San Giacomo Spa&Gourmet

This was our second stay at San Giacomo, and it was just as magical as the first. We originally visited two years ago on our honeymoon, when the hotel felt like the perfect blend of romance and luxury. This time, we returned with our 6-month-old daughter, and while we still experienced the same elegance, what stood out even more was how incredibly welcomed we felt as a family. The hotel has thoughtful touches that make traveling with a baby effortless. The spa offers early hours for families, allowing us to enjoy the experience without worrying about disturbing other guests. For the rest of the day, we could relax at the family-friendly pool. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to accommodate us as parents. One moment, in particular, truly touched us—when one of us had to step away to rock the baby, the staff covered our meals with a metal lid to keep them warm between courses. It’s small gestures like this that make a world of difference. San Giacomo has created something rare: a place that is both luxurious and genuinely family-friendly. We’ll be returning every year with our little one because nowhere else balances elegance and warmth quite like this. Bravo!

I stayed with my family at HSG for 2 weeks. We loved the experience as a whole. The hotel is extremely well run. The atmosphere is elegant and sophisticated but at the same time cozy and you have the feeling of being at home. The hotel is run by family members and you get the feeling of also being treated like family. The restaurant has a refined cuisine and very prompt service. The SPA is excellent with a large variety of beauty and wellness treatments. We particularly enjoyed our nice room with a view of the mountains and we often sat there in the evenings enjoying the peace and quite. My little girls enjoyed a lot the Baby Club that organized many fun activities. The hotel also organizes many activities like trekking and biking in the surrounding places which are beautiful. I would definitely recommended it for a vacation with family or for a couple who wants some relaxing and romantic time. Virginia Serapioni

We were a little underwhelmed by some of the staff. Not all of them seemed overly approachable or welcoming, which was sad. The cleaning ladies on the other hand were extremely friendly! The breakfast spread was quite impressive - we wish we could have this every day We were quite disappointed by the pool and spa opening times. These open late and shut early so unfortunately we were not able to use these more than once during our 3 night stay. We took part in the guided hike with Georg which was absolutely great! Georg put a lot of effort into explaining everything and we had a wonderful time - thank you again, Georg!!
