Country Cottages of Bridgetown

Having just stayed at this accommodation I am disgusted to report the owners of this property are extremly rude and uninviting. From the moment we arrived the welcome was none existent to the point of darn right rude as our friend waited to receive the key. Cottage was nice enough tbf but we were told we're were NOT allowed to use the top bunk. Our ladies especially two were actually no bigger or heavier than a 12year old anyway. So as my chest was extremly heavy from treatment the girls decided to give me the double bed to recuperate and instead of actually sleeping on the top bunk as he demanded because it was for a child we took the mattress onto the floor for one of our party to sleep on. Next day on stripping all the beds we discovered doonas & pillows were stained so badly we couldn't believe we had slept in these. Our friend received a phone call from the owner after we had left the accommodation spotless, to say he was charging us another $40 as we had used the top bunk. She reassured him we hadn't but he put the phone down on her and apparently the woman was screaming at her from the background. I rang to speak to him on my arrival home and he hung up on me twice. This is totally inappropriate behaviour and he took the funds and sent an email not to ever come back. I have travelled extensively across the world and I can not believe that the treatment we received from these hosts is in the least acceptable, they are unbelievably disgusting people and I recommend no-one should be booking with them ever again, from a very upset customer - Yolanda Baty Mandurah WA
